It's great to see Jeff Harding looking so well. Earnie Shavers, the only heavyweight Don King ever liked, still has a real weakness for the ladies. I was looking at Duran on fightnews and he looks to have shed a load of weight, which is great.

This was a good night and as a boxing fan just to be in a room full of so many greats was......well what can one say to talk with your boxing heros and see these great fighters is something specail..I was honured just to be in the same room as some of these great fighters.

Minter was at a sports do in the Midlands quite recently, which my brother attended, and he was blatantly pissed. He told one punter to shut up.

He picked up a million dollars clear for his first fight with Humberto Gonzalez in 1993 in Las Vegas, where he climbed off the floor twice to flatten Gonzalez in seven rounds in a pay-per-view bonanza. Promoter Bob Arum paid the taxes and the corners and then gave both men a million dollars.
