Good thread, i didn't know Steve Smith was as higly thought of on here. I knew he was a solid pro and won bronze in Chicago at the worlds. Personally i haven't seen him fight to often.
I think David Price will do well as a pro, he's a big guy who's going to have impressive power as a pro when he starts on 28 March. I think he's kind of under the radar at the moment humble guy too he'll be fun and liven up the Heavies over here. I wonder if Tyson Fury is a bit of a novelty at the moment however when i've seen him he looks not bad, though he's not fighting any great shakes, he seems to be in a rush but personally at his age i'd slow him down and take my time.
Nathan Cleverly is developing nicely i hope that his power is now starting to develop and he can keep busy and get a British title shot towards the end of 2009.
I like the look of Barker at Middle it's time to step him up though the winner of Elcock-Macklin would be good.
Kel Brook is making noise but again it's time to step him up.

I just included all fighters that met the criteria I mentioned in my opening paragraph, but thanks for pointing out a few others that are top prospects.

All the mentions of Sutherland put a lump in the throat.

It was a terrible thing what happened. It would have been exciting to see what he could have gone on to do as a pro.BobD'Mello wrote:All the mentions of Sutherland put a lump in the throat.
