next he should make mincemeat out of marco huck.

i hope enzo's not targeting the WBO title again. still, seems like there are good fights for the EBU title - macca v frenkel is one to get excited about, potentially.
Yeah, my heart gave a little skip of joy when I saw that he was mandatory for Huck.

He looks like the sort of man who you would find in a little sailor's tavern in the middle of nowhere, who kills people for fun. I am guessing from the shirt he wears that he used to be in the Spetsnaz? He's a bit of a mystery man, no ama career and a four year break in his pro career?

Im sure Flint visits the shed to to make sure Enzo knows his way round his ring
Yeah, poor choice of words - I mean his 3 recent losses. The Alofabi loss he blamed on lack of sparring.

His last oppo was largely unproven, although he sort of had him with the first solid punch he landed..but that's Enzo - Hit or be hit back when the other guy doesn't fall over. Lebedev has looked even better since, he's walking through guys
Lebedev looks like a fvkin badman
I agree; Dennis looks capable of anything. He walked Enzo down and got caught hard. He was very, very strong and powerful. I though Enzo showed some real heart because his nose took some real hammer and Lebedev was not going to stop throwing bombs. He was a real handful; I accept that Mac had reasons for not been at his absolute best but; to be honest; Lebedev looked like the Terminator that night. One mean MF.

I'll tell you one thing that really impresses me about Lebedev.

It seems he may have even managed to overtake Adamek on Autobarn's man-crush list :o

now that is impressive.

well the boxing shed by me - is very small.

ask Coco - he knows the shed.

It has a small changing room / shower

A small / medium sized boxing ring

And a few punchbags and speedball hanging up there.

However Colin Jones trained there for all his fights including Milton McCory and Don Curry - and it done him no harm. He rejected moving to London to train and instead split his time between the boxing shed and Eddie Thomas pro gym in Merthyr Tydfil.

However sparring down in these parts would defentely be a problem - because who else have you got around a local area who can hold their own with a World Class fighter. Places like London are probaly much better for sparring.

I know Colin when he was younger - around just about the time he was turning pro - had not really anyone to spar with - and asked a random guy to spar with and he would just work on his defence.

Meanwhile his future rival Milton McCory was training in the Kronk and sparring the likes of Thomas Hearns - which is obviously alot better training and experience.
flint...have you actually been in enzos ring?

i like lebedev because he's a quality boxer, he's there to fight. he's in an underrated division and - most importantly - there are lots of good fights ahead: frenkel-macca winner (especially if it's frenkel), grigory drodz, and WBO champ huck. lebedev looks a stayer at the weight, and IMO has proven himself with 3 stoppage wins over WBO regulars macca, ismailov and alexeev. really looking forward to a touhg russian (as opposed to a soft universum spoiled russian) getting moved toward a title. and delivering with a KO punch.

i will get well excited if adamek fights for a heavyweight title. but because he's not a natural heavyweight, i think there will be more learning fights, and a wait for exactly the right opportunity so that he's more likely to get his 3rd world title. the ting with adamek is, he's had his big fight for the year - arreola - last april. he won't get a bigger fight in 2010, so adamek fans like myself need to bide their time.

It's when Flint locks it from the inside that Enzo gets really worried

nah, wrong timing for it to happen. adamek's building himself up and surely won't be able to get down, whereas lebedev is too short for heavyweight.

Well I agree with the points in this thread.

Lebdev is a beast and he destroyed Enzo - and would have to be a big favorite to repeat a stoppage win if he was to fight Enzo again.

I would go as far to say Lebedev would beat a Cruiserweight Haye.

He is just the right type of fighter to beat Haye

Short and Squat - durable enough to survive Hayes early onslaught and enough fire power to hurt and dishearten Haye as the fight wears on.

Basically he is a beter version of Forgemeni - but hits harder and all around better.

Enzo Calzaghe is starting the gym back up and if Mac is doing no weights its possible that they will get back together in some form :TU:
