Oh yeah, temporarily forgot he actually captured IBF and WBC crowns. Okay, scratch him off.

Still got Eubank, Collins, Pyatt, Barry Jones, Robinson who never held the British or WBC, WBA, IBF versions of the titile.

At Heavyweight Billy Walker.

He may well have been the most popular Heavyweight never to win British or World honours.

I am just going to check, but I thought Benn vs Watson was a unification fight (British and Commonwealth).

Boxrec says..... NO

I am still not convinced - I thought it was for the vacant British title aswell, will check the fight again.

Boxrec has Tony Burke and Sam Story fighting for the vacant British Super Middleweight title on 19/09/1989

the Benn Watson fight was on 21/05/1989 and then Watson fought Mcullum 14/04/1990.

So either the British title was not at stake in Watson vs. Benn or maybe Watson did hold the title but had to vacate it to fight Mcullum.

Or maybe it doesn't really matter and nobody cares and I just wasted several valuable minutes of my life looking it up.

World title: Nel Tarleton.
British title: Dom Volante and Benny Sharkey.

Along with those already mentioned, these spring to mind, but there are many others.

Benn-Watson and Watson-McCallum -fights were in middleweight division so Burke-Storey doesn't fit in... But wasn't Herol Graham the British middleweight champ at the time after beating Kaylor (made defences against Melfah, James Cook and in the almost tragic bout with Rod Douglas). Only finally losing it to Frank Grant?

Most talented Brit never to hold a world title in my view is hands down
kirkland laing.

Whether with his indiscipline he was the best is open to debate but for out and out skills, no question.
