Post by rhino222 »

lets have a look at the trainers in the game with a pro history. put a link to their boxrec record on here.

ill start the ball rolling with ricky hatton, his record speaks for itself, wonderful career but pissed me off that he never felt the weight of witters corkscrew uppercut !!!

Freddie Roach. Never had the privilege of seeing him fight, I can only go off his record and what I've read in articles. From what I can gather, he was a slugger without much power. However, what he lacked in boxing ability and power, he made up for with workrate, heart and conditioning. By the looks of it he was also one tough son of a gun. Seems like he was short of world class as he lost every time he "stepped up" but he fought some great fighters, taking an aged Bobby Chacon down to the wire, losing a majority decision.

It can only help.. I don't say it's a must but like I said it does help cos they know exactly what your going through in training in the build up etc etc.. I mean Arnie knows when I've had enough and when Im pissed off and things like that.. he knows cos he's been through it all himself.. Boxing is 50% mental it really is!! ;;-)

some would say its a lot more than 50% bomber....... many fighters blame there personal lives (and possibly rightly so!!) for their poor displays and losses etc... this might suggest its as much 80% mental !!
