3-3, coming off a loss

I guess at least judging by the pattern of his record he is due for a win...

We are still keen to fight also, looks like Shane will get his Aussie defence out the way then we can talk, I'll assume caveman has passed on my number to Nick!

Anybody know much about Lucky McKeena? No pro fights to date and two fights booked, including one against Ross.

Was he a good amateur or something?

It is only a 4 rounder. Barely a warm up.

There's always a possibility of injury, but it a gamble Shane & Nick had to take.

Was he a good amateur or something?

The three amateur fights he fought that I know of (used to train with the same trainer), he lost all three and apparently quit in the first two (although they were a few years back now). His first two would've been about 5-6yrs ago and his last one was in 2008. Unless he's been fighting out of SA.

Have sparred him a few times (this is also about 3yrs ago) and while he is talented, back then as soon as you tagged him he'd cower, very little heart. Not trying to be mean, just honest from my experience.

I hope that he's worked on that because from watching Aaron fight as an amateur he was a machine that just kept moving forward. His pro winning percentage is about what his amateur winning % was. I recall Aaron being a decent puncher too.

In saying all this he supposedly fought at The Dome http://boxrec.com/date_search.php?yyyy=2010&mm=07&dd=30 but it's not listed on boxrec. If it's him (and yes it should be McKenna, not McKeena) then he won in 2nd round by KO, see here http://infinitemma.com.au/index.php/new ... master_kos under results. So a good debut if that's the case.

I'm hoping to be at the event so I can report back later on.
