A lot of big weight diffrence's on this card. I mean if it happens in one fight it could be excused. but having alomst every fight with a 2-4 Kg diffrence is pretty ordinary, Especially at the lower weights. Maybe the promoter needs to advise them if they are a certain amount over weight there money gets dropped. It would make them come in at the agreed weight.

The mighty Oscar does get into the ring on a regular basis but spends very little time in it. The last time Oscar was in the winners circle was 25 fights ago.
Oscar may have sold his shares in Jenny Craig a long time ago as over a long time his weight has gone up at a steady rate.
The great Oscar first entered the ring at 237 pounds and gradually ballooned to his zenith at 285 pounds. A slight reduction followed but Oscar has hovered around 260 and 270 pounds much of his ring journey. Looks like the yo-yoing of weight days are over as it is apparant Oscar is now into avoirdupois decline as he is almost anorexic in cracking 246 pounds (111.7kg).
But to give Oscar his due, he is now past 40 years of age and fights at very short notice and allows his opposition the opportunity to add to their "W" portfolio.

Thanks so much guys for the good words of encouragement. I guess boxing has given me something good too which i can tap into when life is a bit tough sometimes and can be a good source of motivation when i'm down. I'm so ever grateful to the sport for allowing me to meet and know some good people & given me the opportunity to travel and see the world. I'm so indebted to the boxing people like you guys for given me the chance to be part of this boxing community. Guys i'm now retired for good and will not lace up the gloves again. I turned 41yrs old last wednesday and was honored to be given a good treatment at Southport RSL during weigh-in. Eventhough i lost on thurs night but deep inside i knew i won alot of great friends during my years in the sport and most importantly my battle against obesity and will continue to do so eventhough i'm retired. Thanks Anton and the boxing forum for giving me space in this forum. I'm so fortunate and forever grateful. I will spend my time trying to spread the good gospel of boxing and good fitness before participating in competition and not following my bad old ways. Thanks heaps and goodbye...i'm now retired for good!!!!
Good on ya Oscar been watching you fight for a while,I'm glad to see boxing has given you more than just a record,I thought I saw you in the corner of a couple of fighters, maybe thats the next step in your career to keep you involved and around the sport you love(as a trainer),good luck with the next chapter in your life.Cheers!!
Thanks so much for the good words of encouragement Iron Rhino! I will focus on looking after some fighters and try my very best to be a good role model by keeping them fit and be truly match fitness before they jump in the ring. i will try to discourage and eliminate the 'ring -in' boxer label as i used to do before. Will try to do it right from now on..thanks so much and would love to catch up over a cuppa of coffee next time when i'm in NSW if you available. Blessings to you and family Champ! Shalom..
