Big fan of Alex. First time I saw him was on a Hatton dinner show at the Midland. Fought well, came across well and loves boxing - a fan and a fighter.

Look forward to watching him progress.

He is by far and away their biggest talent and they have to get him out there on TV.

Cant understand why his fights are just put up on their website and not put on Sky or at the very least put up in full on youtube.

all i`m saying is if every two minutes this useless website does an article on a so colled prodigy then why arent they doing them on real fighters ...cos u lickarses only wanna be seen in fashionable gyms cos u like ure photos taken with celebs....chad gaynor is 6 month younger than ure so called prodigy......was double jnr aba champ and is 4 and 0 with 3 ko`s.....if this really is a boxing website then why doesnt one of ure genius reporters do an article on a fighter with obvious talent...infact why hasnt one of u geniuses done it all ready....or should i do a press release every time a fighter goes for a piss like half the jokers on here!!!!!!

@ chris I understand you want to go about getting publicity for your boy but there are right and wrong ways to go about it. As for publicity I don't go looking for it they ask me, possibly because I generally fight on bigger shows and as of such get noticed where a lot of reporters are at, they come to me via facebook and ask me not the other way around as the writers on here will testify. I agree some fighters don't get enough publicity but that isn't anything to do with me. As of fashionable gyms and real fighters, how am I not a "real fighter" am I fictional?  Also I have been at 2 pro gyms neither one fashionable, my old one had 2 hardened journeymen, an unlicensed fighter and a super middleweight with 1 pro fight, and the gym was small. The current gym I'm training at just has up and coming fighters like me, its not gallghers gym, not arnies, which are fashionable which do have champions etc. I like to do my talking In the ring not come on Forums and argue and hear my name constantly disrespected by one person, There are fighters who without being disrespectful hence why I won't mention there names who are older who have records worse then mine who fight on smaller shows and get more publicity then me, more money then me, fancy outfit, sponsored  etc. Why? Because they actually go out of there way for publicity, put themselves out which in hindsmart is a clever thing to do but i dont believe in doing that and I don't hate on them because I believe in doing my own Thing and keeping my head down training hard, keeping dedicated and fight who my promoter and manager say to fight, I'm not getting caught up in politics and demand to promoters etc and tell them how to do their job, but Steve woods did see me on my debut when I was with FM and said to my manager at the time ronnie davies something around the lines " no I don't want him on my shows as he don't do enough tickets up here and I defintly don't want to risk my prospects against him". If we keep winning our paths are bound to cross. As of amateurs I understand he's done well, but my record was 15-1 and i handled Iain weaver comfortably in sparring and he has done ten times more then your guy or in fact the majority of guys from this country in the amateurs and in my opinion is going to win gold. That's all I gotta say.

scott quigg is a better prospect IMO, rhys roberts is also good.

Not seen Alex yet and been to a few of the shows Hatton has put on, got to agree Scott Quigg looks like the one to watch, looked impressive against Gavin Reid. If you've not seen him check him out http://www.scottquigg.com

yeh very true, hes only a baby, we need to see alex in with some better journeyman then he has been facing, he has too much talent to be fighting guys that have only won a few and lost about 40.

Alex is a fantastic fighter and a really nice guy to boot. He deserves all the credit he gets for being a technically gifted boxer that has HUGE potential. You won't find ANY fighter as dedicated as Alex - I can give you my word on that - the guy eats, sleeps and breathes boxing. I think we're going to see big things from him, and I don't see why it's a problem that he gets lots of coverage.

Wanting more press coverage for Chad is no problem, but trying to step on the toes of one of boxing's real prospects and nice guys to get it isn't necessarily the right way to go about it imo... Is there really a need to come on a public forum and say all that?

Even as an 'idiot reporter' I can understand why Chris wants to see his mate get more coverage. But at what point does he really think that Chad is sat at home going 'gawwannn Chris, give them hell'?

It is likely that he, if he even knows about the thread would be pulling his hair out as one of his mates is making him look at tit via proxy!!

Take a chil pill mate...boxrec does plenty of work with the less fashionable gyms and guys just starting out! That's what sets us apart!!!

What the f*ck are you talking about? You weren't complaining when I got a piece on your lads Youssef and Abdul in Boxing Monthly, were you? They weren't even prospects - they were f*cking African journeymen with a bastard ice cream van!

BoxRec News is run by good lads like Martin who usually build up a patch near them and therefore interview the fighters there. If I had someone near you, I'm sure we'd have things on your fighters.

Hardly anyone covers novices - we do and we're still getting slagged for not doing the right ones. Everyone does this for a hobby, by the way.

Alternatively, you could do what some others do and send an email, saying 'Hey, one lad worth having a look at is x, y or z' and I'll try and get one of my lads on it. Jesus.
