Video -

"I will have too much for Barker. I’m a lot more experienced than he is, stronger, hit harder, better chin and I just think I am an all round better fighter than he is" - simples!

yet to be determined. I would say a lot of that depends on the movements of his higher profile (earning) clients.

Joe is over there in LA now with Macklin at Roachs gym - what his exact title or capacity is, I dont know.

If Roach isnt in the UK for the fight I think it would be safe to say that the busiest index finger in boxing will be in the Tornado's corner

The Finger = Joe 'the Glove' Gallagher

The Tornado = Matthew 'the Tipperary Tornado' Macklin

Well thats half the reason that Gallagher is over there with Macklin as we speak and has been since day one.

The Finger will see the Tornado right. I get more and more confident of Macklins chances by the day.

strangely...i have fancied barker ever since this fight was made, but more and more i am worrying about barkers chin, i have a funny feeling that macklin is going to stop him !!

barker, if he had a good chin, would be an absolute world beater as he has the style in huge quantities do go a long way, sadly, i feel the whiskers will let him down.

he was dropped by samuels, and shaken to his boots/dropped by a journeyman somewhere along the line, cant remember which fight but it was on tv.

is that not enough reason?

do you think barker can be world champion eric? ... pwersonally, i think his whiskers will be his downfall, but potentially he has the skills not to get tagged big.

a bit like amir khan i guess.

Conroy McIntosh dropped him twice and had him on the verge of being stopped in the 2nd round of their fight.
Barker hung on and managed to turn the fight around but it was a real tough battle for him and McIntosh troubled him quite badly with his power.

The Samuels knockdown on the otherhand was a flash one, that was nothing to worry about.

Barker may have been down. But he got back up and won.

Macklin has lost twice.

Once brutally.
