Can't get much prouder than saying "my Dad's British Champion", well apart from "my son's British champion" perhaps.

I hope instead, I'm saying "My son's Liverpool's number 9"
Or Everton's
Or Arsenal's
Or any other premier league team for that matter!

Heck Paul. Some Championship footballers are on nigh on £2million a year.

For example.

Jon Stead, a Peter Crouch impersonator for Ipswich, never done owt in Premier League. £16,000 a week I believe.

Thats £832,000 a year for 3 years. £2.5million. And they moan its a short career. Christ, live in a 3 bed detached, drive a mondeo and that will last you three life times.

Exactly, imagine if some boxers were footballers at their equivalent level/pay structure!

Plus footballers pick up their pay even if they don't play, how many times are boxers let down when the opponent pulls out, no pay there.

They'd fight as often as Floyd Mayweather or Audley Harrison.
