Olympic medalists

Post by pugilisticspecialist »

I've noticed that some boxers (eg. Ray Mercer, Henry Tillman) have a note in the description of their pro debut if they won a medal at the Olympic games. It'd be nice if this was noted in the description for the pro debuts of all Olympic medalists.

Some that are missing:

Lightweight
Oscar De La Hoya vs Williams - Pro debut for the 1992 Lightweight Olympic Gold Medalist De La Hoya

Middleweight
Floyd Patterson vs Godbold - Pro debut for the 1952 Middleweight Olympic Gold Medalist Patterson

James DeGale vs Tchilaia - Pro debut for the 2008 Middleweight Olympic Gold Medalist DeGale

Light heavyweight
Leon Spinks vs Smith - Pro debut for the 1976 Light heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist Spinks

Vasily Zhirov vs Brown - Pro debut for the 1996 Light heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist Zhirov

Andre Ward vs Molina - Pro debut for the 2004 Light heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist Ward

Heavyweight
Joe Frazier vs Goss - Pro debut for the 1964 Heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist Frazier

George Foreman vs Waldheim - Pro debut for the 1968 Heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist Tillman

Odlanier Solis vs Sidon - Pro debut for the 2004 Heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist Solis

Super Heavyweight
Audley Harrison vs Middleton - Pro debut for the 2000 Super Heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist Harrison

Muhammad Ali and Alexander Povetkin both have an equivalent note that is worded slightly differently but it would be better if the note was phrased the same on all medalists:

Muhammad Ali vs Hunsaker - Pro debut for the 1960 Light heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist Ali

Alexander Povetkin vs Durmaz - Pro debut for the 2004 Super Heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist Povetkin

Call me anal, but I think this would make it look more professional, if all Olympic medalists had some mention of their achievement as a note on their pro debut.
