Re: Gavin helping Darren Mcdermott prepare for the Smith fight
This thread illustrates how easily rumours can spread in boxing. I'm glad Smigga can see the funny side of it though

Does Smigga need to train for the McDermott fight

whats funny? so he would rather fight and up and comer for the british title which he will have already secured for life instead of trying to get a world title shotSpud wrote:HomeOfBritishBoxing wrote:x2 but wouldn't smigga vacate and try and go for steiglitz?Spud wrote:Does Smigga need to train for the McDermott fight![]()

Re: Gavin helping Darren Mcdermott prepare for the Smith fight
I think if I find better odds than 3/1 I might have a couple of quid on McDermott. Will be very surprised if this is the pushover that some people think, I'm sure Smigga doesn't see it as oneCounter-puncher wrote:no spud he'll just be smoking cigars in-between Big Macs for a couple of monthsSpud wrote:Does Smigga need to train for the McDermott fight![]()

If Smigga cannot get rid of Darren McDermott with relative ease at a weight higher than McDermott is used to then it will blow out the water everyones claims that Smigga is better than Domestic class.Counter-puncher wrote:I'm sure smigga wouldn't be as glib as spud, no, no newsflash there, though.
Its a lose-lose fight for Smigga I am afraid and if I were his manager as stated when this fight was first declared - I would have never agreed to it.

fine, say that instead of your glib bollocks about not needing to trainSpud wrote:If Smigga cannot get rid of Darren McDermott with relative ease at a weight higher than McDermott is used to then it will blow out the water everyones claims that Smigga is better than Domestic class.Counter-puncher wrote:I'm sure smigga wouldn't be as glib as spud, no, no newsflash there, though.

Re: Gavin helping Darren Mcdermott prepare for the Smith fight
you need to be a BBofC license holder to be a manager, and spud will get that far,
