Paul Smith hopes to "leap ahead of Brian Magee"
British Super Middleweight champion Paul Smith has wished Brian Magee all the best with his European title
fight next month but says he may one day leap ahead of the Irishman in the world rankings.
Smith had hoped to fight Magee but will instead defend his British belt against Darren McDermott in Liverpool in October.
Paul was talking to Hatton TV at the Merseyside & Cheshire ABA Awards where he helped make some of the presentations to the local amateur boxers

Smigga is a good bloke and his promoter is also very good at what he does!!! - however when reality checks in - who does Mr W arren think is his best Super Middleweight and thus therein lies his priorities and in addition as well as looking after his boxers - Mr W arren also has a job of making some money - Smigga v Degale will be one of the biggest selling fights of 2011 and I feel it will come at the beginning of the year rather than the last 2 thirds of that year!!!

Poor Smigga - despite everything he is a good bloke and I love the banter with him - alas when reality checks in - the title of the thread is a mere dream.
Re: Paul Smith hopes to "leap ahead of Brian Magee"
Spud, sorry but this forum isn't called 'British, Irish and Spud'.
Can you go a post without mentioning yourself along with a boxer or someone of the sort? No gives a fvck, and it becomes tedious reading. We know you had banter on here with Smigga, but please stop harping on about it.

I dont give a toss either - you post as you wish as you are entitled to your opinion and I will do likewise - f*cking idiots like you have tried to bully me into posting the way you wish - unlucky going nowhere and I will post as I entirely as I wish and you will not bully me into doing otherwise.jBacca wrote:Spud, sorry but this forum isn't called 'British, Irish and Spud'.

Re: Paul Smith hopes to "leap ahead of Brian Magee"
To be honest Diddly I don't think there was much banter, my mind's just been tricked into believing there was after hearing Spudly banging on about it for the thousandth time.King Geedorah wrote: I keep reading about this famous Boxrec 'banter'. Is it similar to haggling? If so, I'll offer Spud 50p to ditch his distinctive stylee and post in the manner of Meryl Streep in the movie Death Becomes Her, which is massively underrated, I watched it last night and was laughing my bollocks off.
Spud, consider it constructive criticism, it'll make you a better person.
Re: Paul Smith hopes to "leap ahead of Brian Magee"
Spud loves the idea of feeling important and feeling as if fighters actually care who he is. Thats why he was the tea boy for several promotors for several years. Not to mention he set up and failed at every message board he ever ran.

You crack on and post as you see fit - because thats exactly what I have done for 10 years and will continue to do so until this place finally bans me - then I will hang up my finger tips for a much needed rest.jBacca wrote:To be honest Diddly I don't think there was much banter, my mind's just been tricked into believing there was after hearing Spudly banging on about it for the thousandth time.King Geedorah wrote: I keep reading about this famous Boxrec 'banter'.
