Tyson Fury is fighting Jason Gavern who is ranked 51 in the world and 19 in America. He has just come of a draw against Jonathan Banks, whos only defeat is at Cruiser-weight against Adamek.
Seems a much tougher opponent than John McDermott. Nice to see he is being tested. How do you think Fury will do against Gavern?

Can Fury win?

Yes, definitely. Gavern isn't going to knock Fury out. Fury's size is such a huge plus in a fight like this. As long as he stays active throughout the fight he should win clearly, and because it is now only 8 rounds he should have no doubts.

It does not matter who it is, all it is just Mick Hennessy keeping Fury active because Derek Chisora has got that unifaction match with Sam Sexton for the British and Commonwealth belts, so Hennessy is just making sure Fury was very little ring rust on him before going in with the winner of Sexton-Chisora. He will get a few rounds against Gavern but I do feel that he might get a late stoppage or a clear points win as Gavern has not been in with someone as big and heavyhanded as Fury.

Boytsov is a much bigger puncher than Fury.

Can Fury win?

Definitely. Gavern is on a nice little run, but he has lost to or drawn with many fighters who are not as good as Fury. I believe Fury will win a wide decision, but he will get in valuable rounds and probably have some trouble here and there. I expect Gavern to have success, albeit limited, perhaps winning a few rounds. The eight round duration will benefit Fury, as his stamina looked very poor last time out, and Gavern is known to fight strong in the late rounds.

I know you are a fan of David Price and this is the type of opponent he should be facing at this stage. Zack Page, who incidentally has a draw with Gavern, needs to be brought in for him. Price has fought only nine rounds in his last four fights, and three of those bouts lasted fewer than two minutes. Page is a world class journeyman and will give Price rounds, while keeping him honest and testing him more than someone like Peret would be able to. These types of fights will prepare relatively inexperienced professionals for the next level.
