I have to agree with everything the article posted by jBacca says. It's going to be a tough fight for Smith but I think he will come out of it with the W. I'm really trying not to be biased because he's a fellow Scouser, but I really don't see Smith losing. Simpson will make him work harder than he ever has but I think he has the pure boxing ability, if he keeps his head, to outpoint him.

I'll be having a few pennies on the 2/1 that he does.

I know what Simpson is like, it will take one very good boxer to beat him and I havn't seen enough of Smith to decide if he is that boxer. All the Scousers are very keen on Smith (probably the same way I am with a few Irish boxers) so it will be interesting to see how good he really is - no place like a British title fight in the Champions backyard to prove his worth.

Smith/Simpson vs. Martin Lindsay is mouthwatering :DD
will lindsay hang about for that tho? doesn't seem interested in defending the british. maloney said hes looking for ebu or world title elim.

The fight between Swifty and Simpson is an eliminator for the British, so can see it happening. Would Lindsay vacate first 'cos aiming higher?

Maloney is struggling to get Lindsay the big fights whether they be EBU or World Title elims. The current EBU champ, Yefimovich, is fighting really low ranked boxers in his multiple defenses and will more than likely vacate before he has to face Lindsay or his mandatory. That could leave the door open to Lindsay vs. Miskirtchian(main EBU challenger) for the vacant belt and should he come through that, his first defense could be against Smith/Simpson. Wishful thinking eh! Either way, Martin needs to get a big fight soon and who knows he may defend his British belt against the winner.

You are dead right, Martin would box rings around the two of them. Seriously though, Smith/Simpson vs. Lindsay would be a massive fight in Belfast/Liverpool or Scotland. I'd travel either way. I love the way some people think John Simpson is beaten before he gets into the ring. :DD

No one asked you, did they? The two people in the conversation that you forced your opinion on have forgotten more about boxing than you'll ever know.

Why don't you just stick to giving your expert opinion and inside info with guarantees to the people that think you're important. :P

Stephen Smith is the number 1 prospect in the country in my opinion.

His HYPE will start after he takes Simpson apart and stops him late.

Simpson is a top fighter, European level....but Smith is different class.

he'd have to do it a different way, Derry was beating Lindsay on length and the jab, swifty would have to have more in & out movement
