BoxRec summer interviews - Martin Power

Post by dondada »

He's held in high regard on this board, is Martin, and rightly so.

Always comes across as a credit to his sport and to himself :TU:

Is MPG Martin Gillick? I always thought he was one of the Gallaghers. Good interview from Martin, it's good that he is dropping down to Super-Fly where he should be a real force.

Isn't Martin Gillick's username MTG?

I was always meaning to ask if the guy who champions Martin Power was the same guy as the one who.... well..... is a little bit infamous.

I thought Gillick was from Scotland originally?

I can remember watching 'Blue Boy' Gallagher beat Billy Schwer as an amateur; are they from the same family? I'm going on poor memory but one of the Gallaghers was excellent as a pro and retired due to a hormone deficiency; he could throw 100 punches a round and 80 of em power shots. :box:

Sorry about the Gillick error lads - my fault. Thought there was another aspect to the internet legend there! 8)
