Interesting debate we had in the studio on the "Main Event" show.

I always associated "The Hawk" nickname with Julian Jackson, where as Joe Gallagher had Aaron Pryor with the nickname.

Sooooo who is "The Hawk".... Jackson or Pryor for you? :)

Did anybody see the fight were he got knocked down, rolled over on his back, jumped up, ignored the count and attacked then guy he was fighting! Classic!

That was against that Japanese guy, Kameda was it? And because he'd been knocked over in that one, and also in a great fight with the late Dujuan Johnson, most people thought he'd get taken out by the massive punching Alexis Arguello.
What a fighter he was, a complete nutcase too - his entourage would stand in the ring before each fight yelling WHAT TIME IS IT?! HAWK TIME!!
And he'd stand there looking down his out-stretched arm, pointing at the poor sod in the other corner - who knew he was really in for it now.

Superb vid Rob thanks for posting.

I love Julian Jackson but Pryor is the Hawk. Why didn't Julian use "Action" instead?
