I like the slam man, have got one myself. As a variation to a punchbag it is good but it is different, the bag gives more resistance. I also have heard that slam man's used all the time in a gym have had their heads knocked off and stuff so not sure how much they can stand up to constant use.

I concur. Can't beat a good heavy bag in my opinion.Scrap wrote:Absolutaly Crap

any good with a welder Bill? Make yourself two A frames and sling a scaffold pole between the two - bag or bags in the middle.
The slam mans are diabolical IMO, Ive seen them last weeks at the most.

Is it possible to put a bar between the 2 walls of the gym, with supporting pole in the middle, then hang the bags off that, what that would do is take the pressure off the brackets that go into the wall, and just the weight would be supported by the walls and pole.
something like this but on a smaller scale.

You must knowsome labourers or scaffolders (they may train at the gym, you could do them a deal) ..... get them to put a supporting frame up against the wall & hang the bags off them??
