Thats true - the bloke from my corner shop told me this one late on - mightily p*ssed off I was nowhere near the first with the news!!! - mind you I always enjoy getting my paper from him and hearing the latest boxing news. Keeps telling me about a big show in December/January - everytime I go in he changes his mind which one of those months it is.

I think it must be reasonably long-term as he mentioned needing hip surgery to the Chelsea fanzine in April.

DB; Well, I kept this quiet but I am going to have an operation on my hips. I have had a problem with them which meant I wasn’t able to do as much running as I would have liked to before my last fight. I’m going to have some keyhole surgery on them and, after that, I’ll be back to full fighting-fitness.
