The thing terrestrial TV channels have to realise is that you can't just get 25% of the population watching a boxing match. You need to market and build some fighters up and make sure up and coming talents on undercards are shown too to ensure the next generation of fighters will do good viewing figures too.
This is what ITV/BBC used to do, eg with Sportsnight and Mid-week sports spesh, and clearly what German TV.
I saw Wladmir's fight Saturday. Tedious really I thought (no offence Bubi!!). The other guy did next to nothing and I don't even recall Wladimir getting hit.
Is Ruiz-Toney on German TV does anyone know? I mean, the winner is, I suppose, a potential opponent for Wladmir.

are you shitting me!!?? Wlad mentally is made of 1000 year old china. He's the classic case of an on-top fighter.
With his physical gifts and power, he is good enough to beat most fighters, but when someone either ambushes him or takes his best shots and starts fighting back, he falls to pieces.
He was like a deer in the headlights against bitch-titties sanders, who everyone suddenly thought was a major talent after battering him, but in fact was an ageing semi-pro golfer with poor dedication.
He's never been the same since, and he is another accident waiting to happen. it's Michael grant all over again.
Vitali doesn't have the speed or skills of Wlad, but he more than makes up for it with his greater tactical acumen, better chin, and fighting heart. Vitali took plenty of shots off of sanders in the 1st round, but just came back stronger.
