Its been ages since the Katsidis (sp) fight - has anyone heard anything if Kev is even back in the gym yet? Or if he is gonna fight again this year
Also Whatever happenened to Cook? Read on here that the two had a fall out but Nicky hasnt fought since he lost to Martinez had he?

If Ricky Burns wins then no doubt a warren Fighter will be lined up for next defence

so mitchell or cook could be back in the mix

no chance he makes super-feather. don't think he has the commitment or dedication to do that.

He could probably get to the weight but wouldn't be fighting fit or strong enough for a very hard fight. If he's a lightweight now he's best to box at lightweight. There's not much anyone can do about growing bigger (or older).

Kevin Mitchell won't be the last very talented fighter who loses in a bad and unexpected way. He can come back; he didn't much like grafting on the tracks. Everyone matures and there is no (honest) way of making the sort of money to secure his families security. Kevin knows now he is not bullet proof; he's had a kick up the arse and from what I've seen of him he is talented enough and can get fit enough (bottle is not in question after the Johansson bout) to give it a proper go.

(given all that! I don't think he has the answers to John Murray who is very strong and insistent; he knows what he wants and is going for it :box:)

my mate summed him up best though i think simon, there's a touch of bully to him where I'll always question him winning a genuine 50/50.

I think the Katsidis bout could ruin him.He gave it a lot of mouth, was evening saying it was Marquez and then Khan(!) next and then gets a good hiding at Upton Park.It was a big night for The East End that night and turned out to be a total let down.He didnt help himself at the press conference with his stupid excuses.Especially after been filmed all week eating pie and mash in a wes ham shirt!I doubt he will sell that many tickets again,or get such a great chance from Fwank.
