The Klitschko's are fighting what they have available. Can't knock that.

At his best, I think Rahman would have handled Chagaev and Peter pretty easily. I think Chambers would have been a tossup.

Rahman would be lucky to tie his own bootlaces, "pretty easily." It is necessary to emphasise what a poor fighter he was. I think he could've beaten some, maybe all, of these equally-abysmal boxers, but there's no sure route here. He made a sloppy business decision, unsurprisingly, 7 Lewis erased him promptly. Good riddance. At least James Toney had talent to support his mouth.

I also think he beats Peter and Chagaev best for best but let's remember this is when Rahman beat Lewis in 2000, LONG before those guys came on the scene. He probably would've fought a relatively easy defense (vs a Derrick Jefferson/Jameel McCline level opponent) before fighting Tyson for the big dollars, in a fight he probably would've won but Hasim's porous defense could've given Mike a chance to take him out early in the first 2-3 rounds when he still had some juice.

I definitely don't see Rahman making more than 2 defenses tops. First off, he would've rematched Lewis eventually and lost. 2ndly, vs most of the other top 10ers at the time (Byrd, Holyfield, Maskaev, Ruiz) he would have lost.

A few interesting matchups though in that scenario. Rahman-Kirk Johnson would've been an interesting fight, as would have Rahman vs pre Sanders Wlad Klitschko and Rahman-Oquendo.
