Also ( he shills shamelessly ) publishing a book on The Making of The Stone Roses. Very good it is too. Just read the M/S yesterday.

'R & B' is the only genre that gets on my tits. the worst thing is the fans of this music actually think it IS R and B, whereas real rhythm and blues is obviously a different class to the crap that usher and friends spew out.

That was my favourite album of last year. Bought Erik B. & Rakim's "Paid in full" last year aswell, didn't realise how influential that album was, rappers are still quoting them all these years later!

Personal Jesus. Also covered NIN with Hurt. In my top 2 or 3 favourite Cash albums, I reckon.

My CD collection goes from Wagner to Wu Tang, from Black Flag to the Backstreet Boys, from Slayer to Skinnyman and everything in between, really. Predominantly hip hop & punky stuff, though.

80's was great. Spyder D made a rap record using I can't wait as the instrumental. Prefer old school hip hop myself. Slick Rick - Children's story, Mona Lisa. Kool G Rap, Eric B & Rakim. 3rd Bass to name a few.

Like a bit of reggae and Dancehall but don't here much of it in the States.

Any recommendations for downloads?

Volbeat, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Illdisposed, Mercenary, Guns n Roses, Nirvana, Marduk, Opeth, Black Sabbath, Weird Al Yankovic, Motorhead, Green Day, Ugly Kid Joe. Manowar & a lot of classical music. Im starting to like black metal more and more.

They are not playing in Denmark this time and the concert in Gothenburg, Sweden sold out all 60K tickets in 1 hour so didnt get any tickets there, so im "stuck" with small concerts and metal festivals this summer. Would also have liked to go to Wacken but dont have the money for it + I hate camping.

Very few big bands come near where I live so I either have to go to Copenhagen (have to cross a toll bridge so its very expenssive) Gothenburh or Hamburg. Within the last year the only big bands I have seen is MEtallica and Testament, but I have seen some larger genre bands like Illdisposed and Mercenary and a lot of underground bands. I can really recommend the band Volbeat that plays "heavy n Roll". MP3s can be downloaded here: http://www.volbeat.dk and http://www.gritt.dk/volbeat/discography.html Just too bad the number "Soulweeper" isnt online.

Wow, you like Manowar! They are old school, totally stupid, ridiculous band, but I gotta admit I enjoyed their self titled effort, they got Orson Welles to narrate on a track! I love Maiden, slayer etc.

do you like Death (Chuck Shuldiner)? pioneers of death metal, not that I don't find that genre ridiculous. some great solos there, though.

BTW, i'm listening to BLOODSUGABABY right now, whoever is writing that book!

Death is a very good band, Zero tolerance, Symbolic & Spirit crusher are awsome tracks and their version of Painkiller is pretty good, Schuldiner, RIP, had some really good musicians to help him.

I totally forgot to mention my countryman/men under my favorite bans: King Diamond/Mercyful fate.

I would call most of then death metal bands. I dont like Cannibal Corpse, Deicide have made a few good songs. I havent really heard that much suffocation and Carcass. Generally Im not into brutal death metal allthough a few song can be funny. Its always fun to put some early Napalm Death on to shock people
