Ryan Rhodes is out now as well.Boo.

This is a real shame. It's still a good bill, but I was looking forward to Ryan fighting again and watching Barker vs Macklin. Hopefully, they can all be rescheduled.B*ms.

Re: Ryan Rhodes is out now as well.Boo.
Yea, i just read that. This show has a real chance of collapsing if one more fighter drops out
Re: Ryan Rhodes is out now as well.Boo.
how about mackln-konekny up at middle?
Re: Ryan Rhodes is out now as well.Boo.
That may not be a bad shout. Konecny has fought at 160 domestically and in tune up fights (all recently) so he would be no stranger to the weight. I'm sure a deal could be arranged with the EBU that if Konecny fought and lost to Macklin he could retain his mandatory challenger status at 154.Autobarn wrote:how about mackln-konekny up at middle?
Re: Ryan Rhodes is out now as well.Boo.
Its dissapointing if this is true as that could have been a very interesting fight for Rhodes as Konechy was no pushover.big lennox wrote:http://news.boxrec.com/news/2010/exclus ... icent-bill

As long as there are no other drop outs we still have a pretty strong line-up so can't complain too much
1) Nathan Cleverly vs. Karo Murat, 12 rounds, WBO light heavyweight eliminator
2) Enzo Maccarinelli vs. Alexander Frenkel, 12 rounds, for Maccarinelli's European cruiserweight title
3) Derek Chisora vs. Sam Sexton, 12 rounds, British/Commonwealth heavyweight unification
4) Kell Brook vs. Michael Jennings, 12 rounds, WBO welterweight eliminator
5) James DeGale vs. Carl Dilks, 12 rounds, super middleweights
Re: Ryan Rhodes is out now as well.Boo.
i still think chisora-sexton will be the highlightexittored wrote:Its dissapointing if this is true as that could have been a very interesting fight for Rhodes as Konechy was no pushover.big lennox wrote:http://news.boxrec.com/news/2010/exclus ... icent-bill

could still be the mag 7 if warren wanted it too and get some other fights inMachoMan09 wrote:I agree that it is still a pretty strong line-up. It was a flaw billing the show as the Mag' 7, though. Macklin could still be on in a title fight, plus Gavin is on the bill and Broadhurst is supposed to have a title fight too

exactly its still the mag 7gobbles wrote:Adamj1987 wrote:could still be the mag 7 if warren wanted it too and get some other fights inMachoMan09 wrote: I agree that it is still a pretty strong line-up. Re: Ryan Rhodes is out now as well.Boo.
so whose going to pay 15 quid now,7 bouts were never going to hold together ridiculous to think that this was ever a pay per view
Re: Ryan Rhodes is out now as well.Boo.
I agree the show is still a strong show. I'm not so worried (in the short term at least) about whether or not its pay per view as I'm going. The magnificent 7, the almost magnificent 7, the not so bad 7, whatever, at the moment it's still a show I'm chomping at the bit for. I do hope that's the end of the drop outs now though....MachoMan09 wrote:I don't want to start criticising because I do think the show remains very good. However, as fights fall through and are replaced by lesser fights, at some point the superlative 'magnificent' is going to start to become a misnomer if it is describing seven contests that aren't all magnificent. D'ya follow?
Re: Ryan Rhodes is out now as well.Boo.
Still a decent line-up, but I no longer see it as PPV, I thought Macklin vs Barker was a massive blow to this bill and now Ryan Rhodes has dropped I'm really unsure how well they are gona do on the PPV with this.exittored wrote:Its dissapointing if this is true as that could have been a very interesting fight for Rhodes as Konechy was no pushover.big lennox wrote:http://news.boxrec.com/news/2010/exclus ... icent-bill

Whos Broadhurst fighting for the English belt??diggler wrote:still 7 title fights with frankie fighting for the irish and don fighting for the english

Well, OK - well supported local boxers in bouts.diggler wrote:still 7 title fights with frankie fighting for the irish and don fighting for the english
But "Title Fight" in itself isn't very meaningful any more, really.

Re: Ryan Rhodes is out now as well.Boo.
I can't see this bill shifting too many PPVs now. It's still a very strong card but I don't see the casual boxing fan forking out £15 to watch it. IMO without a world title on the line this shouldn't ever have been PPV. The selling point was the strength in depth of the card and now that two of the fights are off I don't see many sales.
Is there any chance at all this will be shown on regular Sky now?
