Would you ever invite one of the posters who 'slam' yourself or another promoter down to the offices and see what’s what? (Providing they can be traced) so they could get a new perspective on what its like to be a promoter and they could then educate other posters with there experienceIf these guys who slam promoters were to spend a day in the office with Frank Warren or myself they would really see what goes on behind the scenes

Re: Question for frank maloney
I'd love to spend a week working alongisde F.rank W.arren, in the build up to one of is shows or something. Bet it's facinating!!!
Re: Question for frank maloney
I'd be happy to spend a week with one of our major promoters.
I've criticised each of them regularly enough..... let's see what they are made of.
There'd be no Eurobums on any show I worked on

Re: Question for frank maloney
Surely this would be the basis of an excellent article.
Names etc could be obscured, the promoters get to show people precisely what they do - and the public get a fascinating insight.

Re: Question for frank maloney
Frank, whatever happened to Marlon Ward, the former good Repton amateur who went pro with you, won all three of his fights and then disappeared? Tony seems to think he got a top job in the City.

Get names of those interested and pick at random from those beginning with J and ending with H?FtmPress wrote:I think you might be right. I love to do it!
Re: Question for frank maloney
I don't know your individual situation but if you have annual leave then you can afford it, its how much you want to do it. I would happily use a weeks annual leave for such an insight...!Adamj1987 wrote:if it was over a weekend i'd volunteer but in weekdays i cant afford todiggler wrote:ill throw my name in
Re: Question for frank maloney
i have 3 days left i am contracted to a 12 hour week and so taking days off means i only get paid for that meany hours. where if im in work i do 12 hours per day so id be only getting 1/5th the money . its a strange situationJamesH wrote:I don't know your individual situation but if you have annual leave then you can afford it, its how much you want to do it. Actually Mr Maloney is a top man and life as a promoter is a nightmare.
Re: Question for frank maloney
I think this is a great idea i would love to be a fly on the wall to see the deal making and all the different preperation for a show that goes on behind the scenes.
Re: Question for frank maloney

'So You Want To Be A Boxing Promoter?'
One lucky punter chosen at random is given a usable budget by ITV and left to get on with organising, advertising, and running a real night of boxing. Top Promoter Frank Maloney is on-hand to make sure he remembers to book an ambulance and all legal requirements are complied with, as well as to provide analysis and commentary.

Re: Question for frank maloney
Maybe another more workable option is a blog? This can be put into place pretty much straight away.
