Get real

Post by bb2005 »

I am i big fan of your site but i have to say that your ratings are a joke. The last straw was when i saw brian magee in at number 4 in the cruiserweight division, not only is he not a cruiserweight but even if he was, what has he done to be ranked ahead of wayne braithwaite and carl thompson. So come on guys get real and start rating fighters in a realistic way.

As it has been said to about 1000 others, please read the box on the ratings page and you will see that editors, or any other person does not do the ratings, it's computerized!

Time 4 a change?

Thank you for your reply barry.I am aware that the ratings are computerized but the point i am trying to make is that no matter how its done it is pointless having a ratings system that is so inaccurate and does not reflect the real standings in each division.

The ratings are of little consequence as they are just used for fans of this site, and personally I like being about to do a search of top fighters in each division the way it is set up now, I really don't pay any attention to where a fighter is ranked. Also, I have seen a lot worse rankings from the so-called top organizations (WBA, WBC and IBF). Aside from maybe two, or three fighters Magee looks to me to be at about the right positioning, I can't see Tiozzo so low, but there are not really any others that I see who merits a higher ranking than Magee at 175, I didn't see his cruiserweight ranking.

time for change?

Like i pointed out to barry i know that your ratings are computer generated but the point im trying to make is it would be better to have a more accurate system that reflect the true standings in each division than some retarded computer that is way, way, off.

Well robert i would suggest for one that the boxers are rated in there right division and second why dont you and your team do the ratings yourself im sure you guys would give an accurate version of the standings in each division.
