Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
I like Haye a lot. But would find it perversely thrilling if (yes, IF) Harrison actually pulled it off after all the years of apparent self-delusion. I wonder if he'd be humble if he did it? He managed it to a degree after the Sprott win. That'd be the way to go, rather than the 'I told you so' route.
Perhaps I'm the delusional one thinking that both those variables are a possibility.

Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
I'd be disappointed if Audley won, purely because I want to see Haye fight the robots next.
If Audley does beat Haye (I give him a very slim chance), then Haye's stature at HW would surely be ruined.

Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
I think more people than who would necessarily admit it have a sneaking admiration for Audley after that Sprott win.
I also find the 'Yes He Can' thing absolutely hilarious.
Further, I don't think Haye has helped himself with the ultra-hardcore fans re the Klit situation.

If Audley wins - it is bad for the credibility of boxing. That doesn't mean he hasn't got the capabilities to pull it off. But a Harrison win isn't good for the sport.
Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
I want Harrison to win.
Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
i want Harrison to jump off a bridge in front of a train and never box again
Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
I think if he did the former, the latter would probably follow.

I reckon you might just be right. But this world would be a much better place if it happeneddeadpan wrote:I think if he did the former, the latter would probably follow.

It's a bit harsh - has Audley raped your dog or something?Josh1111 wrote:I reckon you might just be right. But this world would be a much better place if it happeneddeadpan wrote:I think if he did the former, the latter would probably follow.

At least the goldfish was able to forget about it.

Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
On a serious note, the guy is awful. Fair play to him for beating Sprott with one punch but he also lost to Sprott when he had two working arms so maybe he should fight Haye with one and just swing it, its his best chance.
If you watch him, he's so scared of getting hit he doesn't get close enough to people. I used to back him until he failed to back up all the talk.
I honestly think Haye will beat him inside 3 rounds

Personally, if Harrison were to win, then I reckon Haye would have nowhere to go as a Heavyweight & would never live the defeat down!jBacca wrote:I'd be disappointed if Audley won, purely because I want to see Haye fight the robots next.

It may sound harsh, but if Haye loese to Harrison, people are more likely to remember that than the other achievements Haye has had during his career!
Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
If Haye loses to Harrison, I could see him retiring.
Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
Has it been announced yet? Is Haye ducking Harrison?
Maybe Haye vs Kimbo on PPV is on the cards? I'd pay for the amusement, so would millions of others

Could he really retire after losing to Harrison?jBacca wrote:If Haye loses to Harrison, I could see him retiring.
Wouldn't he have to try to compensate for such an embarrassing defeat?
Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
Most HWs can KO each other, that is the beauty of this division. If it happened, Haye would obliterate him in the rematch. Think Rahman/Lewis, or even Harrison/Williams 2.

Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
Yeah I'd love Audley to do it now, serve Haye right for the stupid match up
Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
I have a grudging respect for Audley having read his autobiography and how his mom treated him. He only lived and grew up 8 miles away from me but it was a different world. By all rights me and his paths should have crossed at Brunel University boxing club. I often wonder how different Audley and my life would have been if that had happened.
But a last minute phone call meant I went to Kingston instead. Kingston London not Jamaica
Hayes is a bum. He talks big time but I've lost respect for his inactivity and laziness

Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
For personal reasons, I'll be rooting for him, though if I was a neutral I'd probably agree a Haye win would be the better scenario for British and world boxing.
Still, it would be a great sporting story to have someone suffer so many setbacks and still somehow climb the mountain top. It's amazing enough that he's got the shot, regardless of what happens on the night.

Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
Yes and no.
Yes because it would be funny as fook.
No because he'll never shut up about it, I can picture it now "I told you I was the greatest! These guys ain't got nothin' on A-Force, yeah that's me - Audley A-Force Harrison Heavyweight Champion of the World!!!"

Re: Would anybody WANT Audley to win?
I would,i'd love to see Audleys face if Haye was being counted out on the canvas i think his boasting would go into overdrive and haye would have to go and live on mars to avoid the humiliation. It would be just great because haye is obviously after an easy pay day,i'm really looking forward to this one and will be there if it's in the MEN arena
