He stuck at it. And with the Sprott knockout he displayed cajones that folk hitherto doubted that he posessed.

That's it mate.

Like these silly football bastards on ITV, you can't have it both ways. They were slating Capello to f*ck for all the problems yet as soon as we look OK (bearing in mind the opposition) they give him a little credit through gritted teeth.

Audley got slated to f**k for being useless and having no heart and that performance against Sprott changed a lot of people's perceptions.

Plus, I just think it's all very funny, as aforementioned. 'YES HE CAN!'  Love it!

i think its more people turning on Haye.

they hate the fight so much, and our so disgusted by Haye taking it, they see the only way for him to get what he deserves is if he gets knocked out.

I'm not convinced to be honest. He always looks a little too gunshy for my taste and shows a reluctance to actually fight. Whether you call that being smart or lacking confidence in his chin are two different things. Personally I'm not convinced that Audley really has belief in himself, despite the bravado. Audley has a puncher's chance, but unlike Sprott who has moderate to good power, Haye has sensational power and expect him to make Audley really, really cautious and spend lots of time being too passive. On top of that, Audley has already admitted Haye beat him up in sparring. If that isn;t going to weigh on his mind, I don't know what will. Personally I think Audley is here for his retirement fund and for Haye just a ticking over fight. People are pissed off with it because of all Haye's talk.

Among internet nerds like us perhaps Rob.

To casual fans its simply because Haye is a big favourite and poor old Aud is a big under-dog.

Brits love an underdog and they love perserverance.

Think Howard Clarke v Fernando Vargas, Joe Johnson v Steve Davis or Richard Dunn v Ali or Frank Bruno winning the title at the 19th attempt.

Harrison will be adopted by plenty who like to see the favourite turned over.

Most will barely have a concept of Harrison's lack of qualification.

Because Audley is a secret Government project to see what would happen if the DNA of Muhammed Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson and Marvin Hagler were combined.

Brits don't like underdogs that don't deserve there shot.

the difference between a guy like Bruno and Audley is that Bruno worked his ass off to get where he was, he was never given a million pounds by the bbc.

the british public hate arrogant wastes of talent more than they love an underdog.

Now all we need is the love child of Sgt. Larvelle "Motor Mouth" Jones and Hightower to defeat him.

Personally, I find Harrison's perseverance and ability to remain positive despite being subjected to widespread negativity truly inspirational. He could have walked away a long time ago, he accepts that his career hasn't gone the way he hoped, but he remains desperate and determined to achieve his dream. He'll go out on his shield but you can't blame a guy for trying.

I find Harrison to be a more sincere individual than Haye. Sure, Audley may have a distorted view of his own ability but I think this stems from over confidence rather than any degree of arrogance. In contrast, I think Haye tries to manipulate the public and the media by telling them what he perceives they want to hear. Haye pulled out of both Klitschko fights yet still has the brass neck to try and convince us that the brothers are running scared. Haye's always driven a hard financial bargain, it's not the first time he's bailed from a fight, and with the exception of Adam Booth who has Haye remained loyal to during his career?

I haven't wanted to see a fighter win a world title this badly since Herol Graham fought Charles Brewer. Can Harrison do it? YES HE CAN. YES HE CAN. YES HE CAN :D

Great shout on backing Herol to win against Brewer. And he so nearly did. Third round knockdown and all.

C'mon Audley!!

Absolutely agree with this. Any other boxer who has had the sh1t that has been thrown him and still keep going deserves a little praise. If he puts in a good performance and really tests Haye would everybodies opinion of him change?

Harrison fell about as far as you can go, from being a hero for winning an Olympic gold medalist to derided and mocked for his choice of opponents and then just being laughed at after a run of defeats.

His recent comeback firmly puts him as the underdog now and all those mockers have softened and have a grudging respect for Auds that he never gave up on his dream to be World Heavyweight Champion and now it can become a reality.

Harrison now represents the common's mans struggle to overcome and conquer the new world order's agenda to emasculate and crush the soul of man.

His journey has had many twists and turns but finally he has a shot of redemption 10 years from his former past glory.

Is that a piss take?

I don't think people are warming to Harrison, I just think it's as simple as them wanting to see Haye get punished for taking this fight. It represents a lot of things that are wrong in boxing.

Yeah it is a bit but at the same time Harrison tried to be different and his own boss from the start, he went against the system and failed miserably at it(more due to his own fault) but has now been resurrected and is just one punch away from being Heavyweight champion of the world.

If he wins then it'll be a great example of never giving up on your dreams despite the world thinking your a fool and yesterdays man.

The reason is because he can do it is because he is going to knock Haye into the middle of next week and claim that WBA world heavyweight title - and can go down in history alongside the likes of Ernie Terrell, Mike Weaver, Tony Tubbs and Bonecrusher Smith! :TU:
