Any Tv yet for O'Donnell and Fury in the UK yet.
Any Tv yet for O'Donnell and Fury in the UK yet.
Any news yet, was supposed to be announced by now but not heard anything, anyone else know?
It will be interesting to see what sort of job O'Donnell can do on Cauthen, Fury should have an easier enough night but still like to see it.

Nah, doesn't look like there will be any.

Was beginning to think that might be the case - cheers IanIan 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Nah, doesn't look like there will be any.

You'll easy be able to stream it on-line.

I doubt it. I don't think it's being shown live anywhere. I don't know this, I'm only guessing.yid15 wrote:You'll easy be able to stream it on-line.

Yeah, but I believe the highlights will be shown delayed in the States. No idea about Canada.yid15 wrote:its been picked up by american and canadian networks

Other than Froch who has made his name worldwide, it must be tough being a Hennessy fighter at the minute. When that multi-roll over Euromillions jackpot comes in I'll set up my own boxing channel!Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Nah, doesn't look like there will be any.

Amazing that Showtime are flying a team over to cover the show (Steve Farhood, who will be one of them, assures me it will get the full treatment) but that it will get nothing in Britain. Thought perhaps Premier or Primetime might have taken it on a low-cost PPV basis.
Has anyone tried Premier, by the way? I know they televised Sturm at the weekend, just wondering what their coverage was like.

Well, this was my thinking initially. What with ITV4 plastered all over HS' website and the fact almost all the production costs are being looked after, I just assumed that it would make sense to make something of it, somehow, over here.Glyn Leach wrote:Amazing that Showtime are flying a team over to cover the show (Steve Farhood, who will be one of them, assures me it will get the full treatment) but that it will get nothing in Britain.
Seems crazy.

Notwithstanding that, isn't it crazy? This seems to be one of your specialist areas...why the f has no one picked it up?robpalmer135 wrote:itv is still on thw website becuase hennesey is a poor promoter and his team are lazy and havent botherd taking it off.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Well, this was my thinking initially. I suppose the show isn't that high profile, lacks a big name? Maybe not attractive enough to the TV types? That said, surprised Primetime haven't picked it up as a fiver PPV job given that Mick and Showtime have links with them through Froch. Primetime's production costs are ridiculously low, they could just take the Showtime feed, but maybe they don't feel this one would sell enough to even cover what Showtime would charge them? Who knows? Does seem strange.

It was just the international feed, like the Klitschko fights on Primetime-but with Rawling commentating instead of Dave Farrar.Glyn Leach wrote:Has anyone tried Premier, by the way? I know they televised Sturm at the weekend, just wondering what their coverage was like.

Cheers Chris. Is it a subscription or PPV channel, didn't even notice it existed until Saturday night?

Seems like they're going to try to provide some good boxing shows. The only problem for me is paying £6.99 a month is good but I'll only be paying for the boxing, my concerns are that they will only show fights from the US where you have to stay up all night to watch it.
I hope they do latch onto the fact that Mick has still got a good stable of boxers.

Thanks. Sounds as thought it would be to their benefit were they to announce a deal with a promoter, just to let prospective punters know what they might be getting for their subscription fee. Suppose that's another one I have to sign up for then! Getting pricier and pricier, isn't it.
Re: Any Tv yet for O'Donnell and Fury in the UK yet.
I have never heard of them. I'm on the Virgin Media platform and can't remember seeing it listed anywhere.
I can give you a rundown of the good and bad on CBeebies though.
