Calls for consistency and commitment

Post by jBacca »

The simworld is in uproar after p4p1, a person of high command, has turned the once prestigious Hall of Fame, into nothing short of a farce.

It's not known whether p4p1 is acting under the influence of his native brothers, or whether he's following his own agenda. One unhappy boxing manager, JDC, aggressively exclaimed, "They are sim crooks. P4P either can't count or is a crook. Ben K is worse, for realising that P4P would be found out for his crooked ways, and deleted the vote thread. Marlin is a crook for trying to cover it all up when he knew the truth."

We also caught up with Crease, who had plenty to say, "p4p1's official voting thread (regarding Marquez) was deleted. Under no circumstances can an official vote be deleted. That, and with the breaking-and-entering of the Hall of Fame, the only punishment is to ban Ben K."

Recent circumstances have even brought ex-Hall of Fame gatekeeper and Hall of Fame manager, Neri, back into the fro. The wise Scouser let his presence known, and initially his words defused the situation. Neri once more left the simworld, but his parting words were a strict warning, "Well it seems p4p1 has now come to his senses and now he might carry out his HOF duties with the honour and integrity he initially showed. We shall withdraw our challenge (a vote for Neri to be reinstated) and monitor his behaviour. Should he raise any more eyebrows with his dealings then i will start a revolution to oust him! Ben K should still be removed as a mod. Deleting a HOF thread and attempting to devalue the HOF is a big no no."

Despite the sharp words from Neri, things have continued in the same vein. Matters still remain unresolved. Will JDC take it upon himself to oust these 'crooks'? Will Crease succeed in banning Ben K? Will Neri return and successfully remove p4p1 as Hall of Fame chief?

On this we agree. Don't mess with the history. Let's leave the record stand, and we can always debate, argue, and quibble, and maybe even arrange for additions, subtractions, changes as a VOTING group. But no one should unilaterally alter the record. Sadly though the old record is simply the best our memories can jointly piece together. The new historical record should be whatever the group as a whole determines.

No messing with history, no revisionists, and no underhanded conniving skull duggery. No erasing the past!

Well, accept for Shep, when he gets to tinkering with the software.

All joking aside, the hall shouldn't be dirtied with this. I totally agree with Buzz, the standards have to be upheld. This is discrediting its rich history of elected inductions. Members can't be appointed in this way.

Interesting that this has come at a time when the Aussie electoral system went mad. I accept this as a forthcoming reason for the choas created. Over the last month it seems Australia, on a larger scale, has had a problem with understanding how an election works. Lets just blame the Murdoch propeganda machine, for a short term brainwashing of the accussed, and sort this mess out

Excellent article Jbacca. :TU:
Would you ever consider a career in journalism, I know you are studying the numbers, but you should maybe look into it.

I think this issue should definitely continue until Marquez is removed from the Hall.

As for banning Ben K. There is a golden rule that Sav told me when I arrived here.
What goes on in the sim, stays in the sim.

I would apply to get Ben K if it didn't go against this rule. But all them of them have a lot of answer for. :shame: :shame: :shame:

And I'm mildy shocked that TF doesn't do anything about it.

When something is wrong, it's wrong!
And it doesn't matter if it's his Aussie brothers or not.

Something has to be done. Maybe someone should just contact John and let him bring his firm hand down.

If the sim should spin to far out of balance, Shep can always shake the etch a sketch again. And Phhhtt......it's as if the universe is taken back to the big bang!

Wow, just.....WOW Crease. I'm sure John Shep would love to know that there is such a problem in the boxrec SIM that not only is is presence needed, but his overall power and leadership of this fine website will be necessary to fixing this monumental problem, that we just cannot handle on our own. Oh yes, whatever will we do until Shep comes and saves us all from the evils of........DUH DUH DUH.................BEN K!!!!!!!! :o :oo :o :oo :o :oo :o :oo Image
