With all due respect to all parties.

Could I ask the general question - how the fkk is this type of show £30?

Do they charge that at League 2 / Blue Square Conference football?

I'm curious as to how these prices are arrived at, obviously, some equation to create a profit but it seems, when you consider levels, expensive as a sporting or entertainment spectacle.

Just a general point, no reflection on this bill.

Good luck Woody.

I paid 35 quid for the bill at bethnal green on sat no big fights on that. And it's 14-40 pound to watch Crawley town now in the blue square premier. I remember paying 25 quid to watch boxing bills in 1997 - so don't really think its gone up too much. If you don't wish to pay it don't go.

I've paid £50 to sit ringside at many shows at Newport leisure centre. Many of the shows have just had local lads on with someone like Jamie Arthur, Matt Edmunds or Paul Samuels topping the bill. The fights are almost always competitive, usually far more so than the Warren bills I've been to and the girls from the bar come to your seats to take your order so you don't miss any action. The first fight is usually 7.30pm the last finishes around 11pm. So for me £50 is a more than fair price for the evening's entertainment. And judging by the other numbers of people there, they think so too

I appreciate all that. And as you say, why it is so hard to make the equatin work for small-hall guys unless they find a local ticket seller.

I'm not trying to be a cock. (Some say it comes naturally)....but when you look at the crude, cold price comparison with equivalent sporting attractions like lower league football it is a tough sell.

All the more credit to those who make it work.

Can these sort of shows not be put on under a big tent in a field with people paying to get in? Wouldn't that save some money?

So rather than go to a venue already containing toilets, lighting, catering etc, you want to get a big tent, and then hire lighting, toilets, catering, etc etc as well as hiring the field it comes in...

I don't want to do anything, it was just a question.

If it is not cheaper then so be it.
