Limond v Morales
Limond v Morales
First real post on here. Really love this site keeps me upto date on all the british boxing which i love
Just want to know peoples views on this fight
I love to gamble on boxing and especially betting in play which ive won a fortune on. Ive noticed limond is 13/2 and higher some places, but after watching morales latest fight he looks nothing like his old self and i gave limond a good shout at those odds.

Re: Limond v Morales
I agree with you mate. In this month's predictions thread i've got Willie down as winning this fight. The only concern i've got is that as Willie has been bought in as "the opponent" he's not going to be given any round that is vaguely close against a boxing legend. I genuinley don't expect a lot of Morales at a weight so far from that of his peak weight, so I'm expecting willie to do a job on him to be honest. Fingers crossed anyway!
Re: Limond v Morales
Mate we all know anyone can beat any1, Ricky Burns proved that at the weekend with a 4/1 price... Limond would have trained his heart out and am sure will make a great account for himself.. As for Morales he will be very confident, lets hope hes a little too confident and Limond can take advantage of that...
Re: Limond v Morales
aye i agree with you daz. hes 9/1 with sporting bet so im sticking £25 on with a matched bet of the same amound on. I keep watching morales last fight and he looked shocking. Obviously hometown rules will apply

I'm certainly going to have a flutter on Limond! Those odds are generous enough!axelf45 wrote:First real post on here. Really love this site keeps me upto date on all the british boxing which i love

Re: Limond v Morales
Can`t see them giving it to Limond on points unless he wins every round clearly. Limond wont get a KO, so maybe the smart money would be for a draw. That way they can save some face for Morales.
What are odds on a draw?

Go the draw. It makes perfect sense.

You guys would be better off flushing your money down the toilet than backing Willie, in Mexico, against Erik Morales.
How many times has Willie even boxed out of Scotland?
He couldn't close the show on someone like Amir when he had him finished!
I think Willie will have the same runner's up mentality in Mexico vs Morales, El Terrible doesn't even need 50% of what he was to deal with this type of opponent.

Re: Limond v Morales
yep but limond has been sleeping with an oxygen mask for the last 8 weeks for the altitude change which seems to me he is taking this very seriously and is not there to make up the numbers
9/1 ive got and even if he loses 9/1 against a washed up morales is too good to be turned down

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.
Re: Limond v Morales
ive had £10 on out right win at 9-1
£10 on points at 20-1
£10 on the draw at 40-1
and £10 on booth to win and limond to win on points!
odds are to gd to turn down with morales being so shot!

Re: Limond v Morales
i agree just watched the weigh in and he looks very aged
i think this is a great value bet. theres no doubt that limond would never be in the same class as morales but hes hes 30 mile over the hill now like
u put that on with sporting bet

Re: Limond v Morales
the fight is what, 143 pounds?
suitable for an old morales, especially vs a small light hitting lightweight, limond.
not saying limond can't do it, but the weight, the setting, all point toward morales.
then again, if ricky burns can all of a sudden look good, maybe limond can rise to the occasion. (burns, to me, is mostly unwatchable, his fight with gomez - clinching the faded manc fighter, slappig with wide rights - was hideous viewing and not very good.)

Please could you post a link to the weigh in? If you saw it online, that is. Sharing is caring.axelf45 wrote:i agree just watched the weigh in and he looks very aged

Thanks bondibob. Much appreciated. Limond looks bigger, especially in his arms. I hope he can do it. He doesn't look phased there.bondibob wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0-yWOjC-oA
