Frankie gavin should be one of the headlining fighters next weekend.he is not even on the sky preview?.
is this because a irish title

BRITISH AMAU
TER WORLD CHAMP
AND I THINK HE DESERVES TO BE NAMED IN THE 7.FRANKIE IS THE MOST EXCITING BOXER TO WATCH AND IS SO PROUD OF HIS IRISROOTS.IM looking forward to heading to the lg arena from ireland to support him and macklin on saturday

I think it's fair to say that in comparison to the other titles on the line and other match ups on, the Irish strap is the lesser.

I mean with the belts and match ups that are on the bill, where do you think the Irish bout should be placed above?

The Irish title should not be announced above the British, Commonwealth, Euro or World related bouts.. So it's where it should be.

Im looking forward to this seeing this fight too.
Dont forget Frankie is fighting a very sound guy and decent Irish boxer Damian Kelly, who has been training very hard for this fight!

how many fights has he had? and you want him to headline?

irish title isn't a major title. if there's another mag 7 type of bill in the futire, and gavin's in a british or EBU title fight, then it'd be a different story.

It matters more on the ring on fight night though :D

Nothing like quality sparring though, it`s essential for success.

It could be looked at as a back-handed compliment. The other 7 fights are viewed as more competitive (except possibly Macklin's but that is against a late sub) but not many people feel Kelly has a chance. Dilks is a proven durable fighter who many felt was unlucky in a Commonwealth tilt. Frenkel is a puncher. Konecny is good. It's not just the title, it's the match. In terms of how competitive the fights are, Gavin's is objectively ninth, also behind Broadhurst-Ali. That's not a knock on Kelly, a good amateur who turned pro late and has been inactive but a testament to Frankie's awesome potential.

purely based on quality and star potential, if james degale is in there then i'd say frankie should certainly be involved.

degale is up against a better opponent in dilk and it should be the more competative contest. but is the WBA International super middleweight title really considered a big deal. it's another one of these pointless titles.

i think it's a little disrespectful to frankie to have degale on there and not him.

But as you say yourself its the better match. And it doubles as a British eliminator.

Nothing to do with it being because of the Irish title, Gavin wasn't one of the seven even when he was supposed to be fighting Woodhouse
