Can you record Sky Pay Per View

Post by ourkid1984 »

I booked to see Sean Lock on the 18th ages ago and it has just dawned on me that that is the same night as the Mag 7 bill.

I have a feeling that you can't record pay per view but really want to watch the boxing and go and see Sean Lock. If you can't record then do people know the times of the repeats of the Mag 7 bill?

Thanks

I have in the past. I recorded Hatton Vs Pacman. Think it lasted a few days before disappearing from my planner. Not sure if this is still the case though.

I have always recorded box office events by sky plus but they always disappear after a week or so from the planner.

There are ways and means.... not for me to discuss on the board though (cause obviously sky don't want you to do this)... just do searches on Macrovision.

Thanks for that people!

I'll give it a go and if not I'll watch one of the repeats.

You can record it if you book it through the Sky box. You cannot record it if you book it over the phone.

You can on VCR or if you do searches for how to sort out Macrovision on google - just for the price of a scart lead!

Hi, you can record episodes or series to your Sky box. To be able to record, you must be logged in to the app with your My Account details. Or you can use some screen recorder, such as OBS, Joyoshare Screen Recorder, Bandicam, etc.

What an absolute rip off. You pay through the nose for the fight and then they snatch it off you. I imagine it's because Sky puts the full thing on their YouTube channel, so they want to continue milking it via ad revenue.

You're better off turning your back on the whole sordid operation and watching boxing in alternative ways.

Sky are uploading to Youtube really quickly now. I think is to circumvent bootleggers doing it and for the advertising revenue. Usually 3 days for Box Office and within the day for the regular fights.
