Hennessy Sports and Sauerland Event regrettably announce that the upcoming Super Six World Boxing Classic mega fight between Carl Froch and Arthur Abraham on the 2nd October at the Chapiteau de l’Espace Fontvieille in Monaco has been postponed.
Froch, who had been trying to work through a persistent back injury, was unable to train on Friday due to severe pain and after resting properly over the weekend the injury had not improved. After visiting his physio and doctor this afternoon in an attempt to see if anything else could be done to help get him through this, Carl was firmly advised to take at least four weeks solid rest before resuming training again leaving him in no position to fight on the 2nd October. This left no other option than to request a postponement.
Hennessy Sports and Carl Froch would like to apologise to everyone that this unfortunate and unavoidable situation has affected.
Showtime Sports, Hennessy Sports and Sauerland Event will be issuing a statement in the coming days regarding the rescheduled date and the situation regarding tickets for this explosive encounter between these two fierce warriors.
FROCH vs. ABRAHAM POSTPONED
Re: FROCH vs. ABRAHAM POSTPONED
Thanks for the update - will the re-arranged fight still be in Monaco? I'm just asking because I intend to make my casino winnings pay for the trip.

I'll be in my 50s by the time this Super Six thing finishes!
