The most delayed reaction I've ever seen, if indeed that's what it was. There was a nice body shot (maybe liver) about 10 seconds before he went down, although from the way he went down it seemed like an equilibrium issue.

This is a very explainable forensic. Now first of all it COULD be bullshit. You can't rule that completely out.

However a Liver shot is one of nature's most interesting little oddities. When tapped just right it can have quite a delayed reaction a little along the lines of "reverb" or "echo". When those nerves and neurons are disturbed they can apparently take on quite an algorithmic equation when delivering their message to the brain. And the brain can take it's time in "fact checking". It can then affect the victim in "waves". A little bit like testicular trauma, or certain kidney stone events.

It is entirely possible that it took that long to register and for him to give in. Handling pain is at least partly a matter of will. Most liver shots you will see do have a very odd timing to them. If you consider this one more exaggerated, I think you will still see that almost all boxing KO's based on liver shots have some delay associated with them. This is a pain most of us can not shake off. You can see DLH struggling with it vs Hopkins. And Virgil vs Jones.

It was a body shot, Galaxy tried to resist the pain, then blacked-out..

Espinosa was a dangerous bastard, and a fast starter.

Wow. seriously? He did not take a liver shot from Jones? LOL...ok I've heard it so much I actually just took it for granted. I'll go back and watch. Sorry about that, fingers were typing, brain not engaged.

Didn't Jones claim that it was? And I have read it time after time....and sort of drank the Kool Aid on that one I guess. My apologies. I've watched the DLH often enought to be sure of that one.

Also....I think Gatti may be an example of a guy who took a good liver shot, and somehow kept fighting. Vs Ward possibly? I have to go back and look at that one too.
