Magnificent 7 - Running order
Re: Magnificent 7 - Running order
Who cares what will be shown on TV, i'll be there live so will get to see all the fights, in the order of the original post. I've leave the rest of you to argue amongst yourselves ![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
Re: Magnificent 7 - Running order
I said "later", but if you want to be pedantic, they often show the live SKY feed on screens while fights are going on.
Like I say, I'd be amazed if they show all the fights in full, especially if they go the full distance and even more amazed if they show the fights as they [are] happen(ing) in real life.

Re: Magnificent 7 - Running order
I personally think, with it being a PPV, that they will show the 7 fights listed in your post in full.
The supporting fights will probably be edited, if shown at all.

You would be amazed if sky showed live sport...okorbtastic wrote:I said "later", but if you want to be pedantic, they often show the live SKY feed on screens while fights are going on.

I'm not arsed what order they show them in, I'm outer ringside and will watch it the next day on TV and fast-forward all the inane stuff.

I tried booking it last night, before I forgot..and it only had the replays listed on the planner? Anyone else had this problem? Normally it lists them all? Moot, I guess.

Re: Magnificent 7 - Running order
If they dont show all 7 fights live as they have advertised everybody should request a refund!!!
Re: Magnificent 7 - Running order
Cleverly not being the headline fight amazes me. Obviously Barker / Macklin was without a doubt the headliner but Cleverly / Murat is the second best fight on the card.
Re: Magnificent 7 - Running order
I'm with you on this. I really want to see the fights but won't let myself be mugged by paying extra for a domestic / continental show. This is a bill for boxing fans and doesn't have crossover appeal - asking those fans to pay extra on top of a sky subscription is a kick in the teeth and takes the piss. Without such fans what kind of following would the sport have given its low public profile these days?Dioufy wrote:To me, that was the only was this PPV would be a success. I'm not buying it, because it's mainly a domestic-standard bill, and I made that decision when I believed all 7 fights would be shown. If that's not the case, then I can see this PPV being pitiful, in terms of people buying it.Josh1111 wrote:Me too Dioufy, especially as the PPV starts at 6pm, perfect timing to show degale live, the rest of the fights will followDioufy wrote:I was under the impression that all 'Mag 7' fights were getting shown live and in full - is that not the case?

Re: Magnificent 7 - Running order
Booking the event was a nightmare. The Sky planner only showed the replays so I had to ring to book. I was told to press 0 to book, which I did and I was then disconnected. I rang customer services to see if I had booked the fight and they told me it was booked for 7 pm Sunday. The woman then cancelled that and booked it for Saturday night and charged me an extra £1 service charge. I wonder how many others will switch on and wont get it. I have to say it was piss easy with Virgin. I dont think I will bother with PPV in the future. I was also told if you book over the phone you cant record it.orbtastic wrote:I tried booking it last night, before I forgot..and it only had the replays listed on the planner? I know, and am still in my dirty bills from last night.MightyWarrior wrote:So DeGale on in an hour ? Weird, seems way too early..
Shower, shave, iron - all in an hour, shit.
Re: Magnificent 7 - Running order
I've spent the last hour standing next to the house alarm control panel, been in this place 6 years and never had an issue, and today the friggin alarm system decides to go and have a battery failure, the maintenance engineer takes 90 minutes (half 6) so every cpl of minutes I have to key in the code :xjBacca wrote:I know, and am still in my dirty bills from last night.MightyWarrior wrote:So DeGale on in an hour ? thankfully I can see the telly box from the hall. I'm sweating just standing there...
