Match makers please read

Post by Grant »

I hope there are Matchmakers that read this forum, and if you do please answer this.
What value are these fights to our fighters. Did you think about it and do you have reasons.
If you just pull these guys out of a hat you should be ashamed.
We are they paying public who have grown up loving this sport and the longer you put lives at risk and pad these records the more damage you are doing. Why were these matches made on the Mundine card. I would like to know.

Billy Dib 28-1 Vs Jack Asis 21-16. WTF?

Garth Wood 8-1 Vs Elvin Marbun 13-9 Padding!!!

and worst of all

Peter Karsi 21-1 Vs Jakkirt Suwunnapastrycookkkirt 15-16.

Couldn't agree more, and well said. I think other promoters have pulled there heads in and realized they need to lift there game, but Mundine keeps putting up his shitt, he's still the bloke who's really rorting the public, i really can't stand to look at him anymore, and to the fighters who are fighting on his shows....don't!

Peter Kazzi, will never fight anyone other than blownup middle weights, consider him a Sonni Bill Williams without the fame, he'll never enter a fight unless the other bloke knows he has to fall over.

This is common practice in Aust-ra-lasia .... cash for titles and padding up records. Some promoters must think that every punter is a sucker for it..... Mundine's last fight and card is a classic example. No one really gave a fark and not many bothered..... go Sonny Bill.... after league, rugby union, boxing maybe WWE awaits.... if all else fails try Australian Gladiators.....

whats this australiasian shit!it happens all over the world, nobodys happy with it but sometimes you have to deal with if it includes a fighter coming back from injury or a long layoff or a change of devisionetc etc but an up an coming fighter should be nursed into fights of copetitive talent and be able to improve on that.Only in a perfect world this will happen but with such a small population how are we supposed to compete with the worlds stastics, shitt in a perfect world theres peace on earth! :witzend: .

yeah sure let's stretch it to the whole world and let's keep nursing fighters....unfortunately fight fans at some point get sick and tired of this shit. surprisingly enough in some-high rating competitive sport injured or not athletes have no choice but to walk right into tough competition, also up and coming or veteran the same applies. Anyhow....

Im not sure they fight the best of Indonesia. There are guys in Indonesia Thailand and Phillipines who would embarrass our guys if they were brought over. We havnt seen any Number 1 guys over here as an opponent.

Im not sure we would get them here either, as they would earn more fighting in there own country than they would be offered here.

JMM only got paid 30 somthing thousand for fighting Chris John for a title, and he's a HOF fighter.

Agreed though, we haven't seen the best of Thailand,Philipines or Indonesia yet, Billy Dib seems content to fight the 4th and 5th best in there countrys.

Our good fighters are willing to test themselves like Vic Darchinin and Michael Katsidis . I don't put Billy Dib ,even if he fought for a world title in this category.

100% agree with you. Vic and Katsidis are our 2 standout fighters on the world scene.
