Which of the underdogs has best chance at Mag 7
Surely all the favourits wont win so out of the underdogs who do you fancy and who do you think is overpriced?
Below are current best prices.
Jennings 4/1
Voronin 16/1
Ali 6/1
Kelly 16/1
Dilks 6/1
Hall 11/8
Jomardashvilli 16/1
Sexton 9/4
Frenkel 11/8
Murat 11/4

Personally I think Jennings looks quite juicy and maybe Sexton.
Also never seen Ali and know nothing about him other than his record of 3-2. But he only lost by a point to Bayaar in his last fight and and had an undefeated fighter down in his other loss. 6/1 may give a run for money? Anyone any insight?

It has to be Sexton mainly due to the fact he can pack a decent punch. To be honest I was thinking of backing him for the fight anyway.

Dilks @ 6/1 is a decent enough bet.
Re: Which of the underdogs has best chance at Mag 7
Frenkel probably has the best chance, seeing as Maccarinelli has shown so much vulnerability recently. I see it as close to a 50/50 fight.
Sexton has a decent chance, but Chisora handled him reasonably easily the first time, imo.

I'd tend to agree with that.Asterix wrote:Frenkel probably has the best chance, seeing as Maccarinelli has shown so much vulnerability recently. I see it as close to a 50/50 fight.

I think of the 7, Hall has the greatest chance of losing.

Murat at +320 is the best price at offer imho. He´s somewhat limited, and Cleverly will probably outbox him early, but I have my doubts about his durability and he´ll come under fire in this fight eventually and his chin and toughness will be tested.

Frenkel, followed by Sexton. I don't see either of them as underdogs particularly, anyway. Both close fights.

Is Michael Jennings fighting Sugar Ray Leonard? 4/1 to fight Kel Brook, have I missed something?
Re: Which of the underdogs has best chance at Mag 7
Sexton is way overpriced in what for me is a 50-50 fight. The Georgian at 16-1 is not bad either, each defeat close and if he gets past the first few and forces Macklin to war... I think he will ultimately get stopped but as a late sub with EBU judges he's a touch overpriced
Re: Which of the underdogs has best chance at Mag 7
It has to be Frenkel.... but take the 7/4 on the KO rather than the outright 11/8 that way your nearly getting 2/1 & lets face it..... Macca's either goin out there to bang him out or is gonna be banging his head on the canvas!
Re: Which of the underdogs has best chance at Mag 7
Fenkel or Murat.
Personally, I don't give Sexton that high a chance against Chisora.... I think Derek beat him quite handily last time. Whilst I can see Sexton is much improved I think Chisora is too good naturally.
Its a good bill and whilst I don't see it as 7, 50:50 fights, I give everyone in the 7 bouts some chance (the guy fighting Macklin the least).

I think Hall has a great chance of winning and Sexton and Frenkel could have chances as well.

I've had a couple of quid on Jennings winning on points. Very much a live underdog imoMachoMan09 wrote:Surprising odds for that contest. Ali looks a good bet for me, seen him fight before and he didn't look to bad. Broadhurst isn't a all time great is he? No

Not judging by the odds available, not by a country mile.

We don't know how good Brooks is yet, could he be coming in for a Nigel Benn/Michael Watson type shock ?
On the face of it, it looks a perfect fight for him: up and coming star v the faded top dog, coming off a recent heavy loss...but if he's not as good as everyone thinks he is, and Jennings is up for one last shot, it could get uncomfortable.
And Murat and Frenkel look the two best outsider chances.

Correct. But if the bookies were always right you would always bet on the favourite and win. What they do is offer a reasonable consideration on the probability of a contest.hoot wrote:The bookies arn't daft they want to take money of mugs like yourself.MachoMan09 wrote:Surprising odds for that contest. Basically you should only bet when you feel the odds/probability are wrong
