Mosley v Mora card *Spoiler**

Post by fatman »

Victor Ortiz TKO4 Vivian Harris - Harris little punch resistance, Ortiz had him down three times in the 2nd and the ref waved if off in the 3rd with Harris down for the fourth time. Good performance from Ortiz

Saul Alvarez KO6 Carlos Baldomir - Alvarez looked superb, fast and powerful, battered Baldomir, landed a massive left hook which left Baldomir face down on the cavas, out for the count, some statement to destroy the durable Argentine

Mora came in heavy and conned a draw. He would never have been strong enough to go 12 hard rounds at 154 pounds.

i think whoever's idea it was to put mosley-mora on PPV needs an axe to the head. it was always going to be ugly and how long was it since mora made 154? mora is terrible, a hideous to watch one handed spoiler with no boxing rhythm.

A good eventful card, ruined by the main event.

that's worse matchmaking than calzaghe vs bika.

throw a couple of names or semi names together and hope for the worst, it seems the mentality was.

Was really looking forward to seeing Alvarez again. Another hugely impressive performance.

Looks a bit special does Alvarez. Knocking out Boldamir is no easy task and he took him to pieces.

They should feed him Cintron next.

maybe alvarez is a bit special. but also he's probably growing into light middle or even a middle. so perhaps one day, the win over an ageing former welter champ baldo won't look so impressive...definitely he does have 2 or 3 really good wins for someone his age, but i can't help but feel he'll be operating at a considerably higher weight than the guys he's currently beating.

That'd be way too risky!

Cintron hits very hard and, considering Alvarez's defence is still far from great, it'd be a silly option to take.

Bearing in mind what happened to one of Golden Boy's other promising youngster's against Pirog, Daniel Jacobs, I can't see them putting Canelo in with anywhere near as dangerous as Kermit.

I think Mosley would be the right fight. I think he is shot now, but it would still look great on Canelo's record.

Thought exactly the same thing. Be a great fight for him and Goldenboy could keep it in house

He certainly is one strange-looking Mexican!

His Grandad, Great Grandad or Great great great great Grandad was a celt or something or the other, which explains his red hair.

It's weird that two of my favourite young boxers right now are both ginger, George Groves and Canelo!

he looks very upright. he throws a good left hook but i don't think he's as powerful or as fast as ppl want him to be. he's also easy to hit.

very young to be put on a big stage. he's delivering at the moment but it seems he's being rushed on the PPV undercards.

the best mexicans are usually not the amateur stars, but the ones who lose their pro debuts and learn on the jb at their own pace.

doubt he'll be a welterweight for long. when he's above welterweight his power won't be as good, obviously. reckon they'll rush him so he'll win a title (hopefully) with big size advantage.
