I'd love to see a movie about Stanley Ketchel.

Salvador Sanchez immediately springs to mind. Short but exciting career and died young.

Willie Pep would be a great one to do, especially when you could integrate his plane crash, doubts he'd fight again, and subsequent career where he engaged in his series with Sandy Saddler.

Joe Louis has never really had a biopic and I'm sure a good one could be made.

Mickey Walker, the boozing is irresistible and his career is a bit overlooked considering how spectacular it was.

I mentioned him in another thread, but mouzon might be interesting. I honestly don't know anything about what transpired in his life between the early retirement and training Qawi. But it has the plot line for a flick.

I've already listed Bob Fitzsimmons because he was such a zany character. I like your list too. I would add George Dixon, the first world champion of African descent. Can you imagine the sh*t he had to go through?

Great shouts indeed, especially Sanchez! What a fighter he was. Surely, there is no doubt he would have gone on & become champion in another division?

As well as Stanley Ketchel. I'd love to see a movie about Battling Siki. Two wild men with wild stories.

Monzon would be great but nobody would ever make that film. He was just too nasty.

Why not? They made " The Raging Bull" with scenes where Lamotta punches out his brother and his own wife in front of his brother's little children. Outside of murder, you couldn't do much worse at least film-wise.
