i wouldn't write off braehmer. he nearly had his head knocked off by a russian challenger, should probably have been stopped and sent to hospital after 2 mins of having his head spun around, but rallied back to win a great fight.
JB throws hard, fast southpaw punches. a fight with cleverly, who clearly likes to get stuck in and forget about defense, really would be fun.
i would be impressed if FW managed to get not only murat (sauerland contender) but also braehmer (universum champ) to the UK. never mind the fights, getting 2 germans over here would be an impressive feat.
I guess with it being a mandatory (?) which it's technically not, due to him being interim champ that it would go to purse bids...if FW makes the best bid, he can hold it in his back garden?
I think Frank will match him well to be fair. I can't see him going for anyone but a weak champion in the short term, and I don't think there are any genuinely weak champions at light heavy. Brahmer is clearly the most beatable but I'm not sure he's ready for that yet, or that Frank will risk it. Chris Henry is a dangerous fighter and that would be too high risk/low reward. Looking at the others that are floating around, there are a few solid Euro-level guys that he could go in with - Lakatus, Kostecki, Kuziemski - and in terms of faded "name" fighters then there is Otis Griffin and Hugo Garay. All very winnable learning fights for Clev while he builds toward a world title shot at the back end of next year.
