We would be willing to accept step aside money for others less likely to succeed in order that they may have a chance. OR perhaps a lottery to see who leaves? OR (and I like this best) draft cpu's as initial opponents in the first round for some?

Well I'm gonna wait and see how many other people are willing to commit before making a decision on that.
Or you could just boycott of Crease's fighters as he doesn't deserve to be part of it anyway, all he'll do is whinge at your format and tell you how he'd do it better.

and bingo, you have 16.

Either that, or limit people to one fighter each.

An excellent suggestion Buzz, let things be as they may... Reagrdless of the amount of boxers that we have, after the application process is finished, Detroit should pick cpu fighters to make up the numbers (until we reach 32).

Then the fun begins... :box:

A least this way, nobody will be getting byes.

One thing I would ask, if it is a world cup format, and there is 8 or more cpu fighters, every group should have 1 cpu fighter. :TU:

Corbett will join. If Whitaker loses to Robinson, he will too.

If we group the fighters based on ranking like the commish did in the Gavilan tournament and add all the highest ranking CPU's we could do this. We could also do the same thing using origional draft order rather than rankings. We'd only need to use rankings for the CPU's then;

1st Pool
(ranking/draft pick order - group allocation)
1 - A
2 - B
3 - C
4 - D
5 - E
6 - F
7 - G
8 - H

2nd Pool
9 - H
10 - G
11 - F
12 - E
13 - D
14 - C
15 - B
16 - A

3rd pool
17 - A
18 - B
19 - C
20 - D
21 - E
22 - F
23 - G
24 - H

4th pool
25 - H
26 - G
27 - F
28 - E
29 - D
30 - C
31 - B
32 - A

2nd Round
(1) 1st in A vs 2nd in B
(2) 1st in B vs 2nd in A
(3) 1st in c vs 2nd in D
(4) 1st in D vs 2nd in C
(5) 1st in E vs 2nd in F
(6) 1st in F vs 2nd in E
(7) 1st in G vs 2nd in H
(8) 1st in H vs 2nd in G

Quarters
A1 - (1) vs (4)
B1 - (2) vs (3)
C1 - (5) vs (8)
D1 - (6) vs (7)

Semis
A1 vs C1
B1 vs D1

Final

Would only add 1 extra fight than in last seasons tournament, whilst again keeping fighters who started in the same group appart until the final :TU:

There's suggesting and there's telling... I would not expect an idiotic pilgrim such as yourself to understand the (hardley subtle) differences..

Will you be adding CPU's with the best records?

It'd be good to see if any of them could get out of their group. Berto/Hatton/Cocoa and the dropped draft picks could shake things up a bit.

Should these fighters join with an elite traing camp and asigned a trainer, or should they remain generic lucksters?
