He's been the biggest name in British boxing for many a year, this is a forum, people sometimes wish to discuss it. The site continues as it was before, and will continue to do so.

Hardly the NOTW.

A thing you need to know about depression is that all this money and adulation and whatnot doesn't mean shit, depression is something which anyone of us no matter how rich or poor, happy or sad we may be can be affected by, I knew a girl always up for a laugh, always went out of her way to help people, had a loving boyfriend, had lots of close friends, had a stable decent paying job, always had a smile on her face, her fella came home from work one day and found her hanging, that's depression it's a battle on the inside which nobody can see and only you know it's going on, depression is something which can destroy the strongest of people, you could be with your best mate tomorrow and he's laughing and joking away but on the inside something is tearing him apart but you would have no clue that he's feeling that way.

Spot on.

Happened to my brother in law when he was 32, went out for a pink of milk, threw himself off a 12 storey car park, absolutely no signs of it, had just had a baby girl 18 months before which was something he longed for forever.

Depression, like drug usage is one of the remaining taboo's with amassive stigma attached to it.

He might have a really small .......
Mmmm you may have a point there would explain why he's out all night , ends up in her room and wants to stick stuff up jhis nose and drink piss , rather than give her one ,

Make sence why she done what she done , if she's not gonna get boned probably thought, i'll take the money , nothing like a woman scorned , see he would'nt have all this trouble if he'd off shoved something in her instead of his nose

But I will humour you for now - surely for Hatton to enjoy the drug for recreational use he would have to have the mental strength to keep his life in control and realise when things were getting out of hand - it seems Hatton is still in denial now - he says the drink was a problem but not the drugs - how does he know the drugs werent a problem when he was p*ssed a lot of the time???
Drink (Alcohol) is a drug, if you have a problem with drink then you, by definition, have a drug problem. I think I've asked you this before, as you are so judgmental, do you drink and or smoke? If so, do you do either regularly?
It'll be interesting to see if this thread disappears like the last one did when I asked you this.

I just can't help thinking the tragedy with Ricky is that he was a really smart, head-screwed-on and mature-for-his-age 23 year old. And that for a man in his thirties he somehow has become relatively immature for his age with less broad horizons.

I suppose thats the effect that celebrity and being surrounded by yes-men can have on you if you're not careful.

He needs to travel a bit (not vegas or cruises) and expand his perspective again and get the fornicate out Manchester and boxing dinners and his local boozer.
