They didn't even say wait ther wel get karl wen I said I'd leave so sorry john but ur fite didn't happen due to bad staff.

It seems a ridiculous situation and sounds a bit like you got an over the top Security employee. Surprised if Carl wouldn't have sorted this in an instant.I'd be interested to know when you arrived as if you were weighing in on the day I would have thought you were at the venue "before it gets stressfull" for the promoter so on face value your issue seems bizarre.
With respect your decision seems a bit silly. What admission fee did they want for this type of show...£30, £40.....and your purse was?????
I think with hindsight paying the £40 and then arguing the toss when you get face to face with Carl sounds a better bet after 3-4 hrs travelling???

i know lee very well and he does come prepared,if and only if lee did get kod who would drive him back home.would it be fair 4 lee to stay in digs,if in donny he could find them,and belive me im a yorkshireman its bloody hard.would promoters miss £40 and only if lee got kod.only if,it would save donny council a fortune in hospital fees,i think when other boxers put thier health on the line,at least let them have fair back up plans,this can be resolved by boxers having 2 free tickets to therte fight if they are travelling a fair distance

And wen my best friend died 5days earlier and I still make the trip and been stook in accident traffic as it was yes I was very stressed thanks. I took half day off work paid my petrol and I'm sorry I'm not paying any more out to cum box,that includes digs,food or tickets. I live in Cumbria Jonny u idiot my manager whobdoes my corner lives in Barnsley so how the hell do I travel wiv him?? I travel every where at my cost so free to box for me it isn't!!! And y shud I hav a driver?? Because every1 excepts it's needed and hav given me free passes wiv out a single problem!! I live in the middle of no where so it's costs me petrol days of work etc why shud I add the cost of my manager traveling hours to get me then take me home. Im the promoter carl greaves and feel i need to reply because this has made me blood boil. first of all lee ive not had one call from you regarding all of this then you have the nerve to post on here. the story is we allow 1 boxer and 2 trainers in your 2 trainers or cornerman had already signed in you turned up about half hour b4 show had started with 2 lads claiming they was your trainers my staff said your trainers was already in so your mates would have to pay they refused you was offered to come and find me you never and off you went turned your phone off so no one could get hold of you thats the truth do you really think i would of let jon down and lose a fight on my show over a couple of tickets. My staff was doing there job all you had to do was call me. Im one of the most genorous promoters around i look after alot of people on my shows all my lads get looked after i graft my balls off and you come on here giving my company a bad name your out of order lee.

I believe Kellsy. I think he came all that way so hes hardly going to be looking for a way out. he knows his level as he has said on the thread "im just a journyman" so I think he is an honest lad. The promotor did him a disservice in my opinion and the staff was unhelpful. This guy was boxing on the show and should have been able to bring a mate to look after him. the fact that the promotor still comes on and says that he wouldn't allow a mate to come in with the fighter proves the point. for gods sake, the man is coming and putting his life on the line and the promotor is making money off it. the least he can do is let a mate in so that the fighter can be given a lift home safely.

No problem mate I think it's clear to everyone what happened. The staff were not doing their job properly. I don't think your reputation will suffer because of this.. I think the promotor should talk to the staff and make sure this doesn't happen again. Also, a fighter should be allowed to have a mate in to take care of him. It's common courtesy

Iv been to plenty of carls shows and worked on them and never ever had a problem.I dont know the ins and outs here but if i had to go on how iv been treated by carl when taking fighters to his show i would trust what he is aying and i bet you could a lot more boxing people on here who would tell you the same.
Carl Greaves is not the kind of person to let someone down there are plenty of boxing people on the forum ask around youl find hes a fair guy and hes not one for making up stuff.
Im not saying lee is as iv only ever spoke to him by text and he seems sound enuf but thats my experiance of carl.
