I think its now time for my say. I am the lad who was working on the door i would like to add i was not security i was taking tickets and issuing wristbands and who was in charge of allowing boxers and trainers in to the show. On my desk was a clip board and a list of everyone who was fighting and who was on the guest list. Each boxer is allowed two guests, ie trainer/manager. We all knew Lee Kellet was going to be late to the venue because of his mates funeral. When Lee's trainers arrived of which there were 2 of them i signed them in and gave them wrist bands. At the time of lee kellets arrival we had probaly over 100 people all of who had tickets wanting to come into the venue all of which needed wrist bands. The que stretched around the dome part of the venue. Lee told me his name and also said he was with his trainer (his trainer was very smartly dressed in jeans and jumper). I apologised to lee and said that his two allocation of trainers were already signed in. Lee argued the toss, to which i said he would have to call his trainer to discuss the situation or his mate would have to pay. The so called trainer then replied "Im not f*****g paying). I then told lee that he was free to come in as he was boxing to which he chose to go round the corner away from the que and get on the phone to someone of which i dont know. After this i never saw lee again. All he had to do was come to me and ask for his wristband (of which he was offered) to go up into the changing rooms where his trainer/manager and carl greaves would have been to discuss the situation. Knowing carl as i do, there would have been no problem what so ever for his mate to come into the venue, but i certainly wasnt going to make that decision without carls say so. Lee chose not to use that option? but instead drove 4 hours there and 4 hours back without even asking the question. I know what lee kellets purse was for the night and i also know what very little carl greaves earnt from the show after 8 weeks of hard organising and stress. put it this way lee kellet would have earned 3 times more than the whole profit of the show if he had chose to fight.

Although Lee might have been unwise to bring it up on here - and maybe he's made a couple of wrong decisions at the time too - some of you on here who aren't involved are being uncharitable to say the least.

If the fella has lost his best mate a few days before, his head might very well be all over the place - and still might be.

Cut him a bit of slack, FFS.

Been through it all mate when I was over there...one of my pals came over, had six mudslides, wondered why his legs didn't work and was sick as a pig.

My brother came over, sat in the sun all day knocking Cuba Libres into him - next day, basket case
