Soliman v Pradeep

Post by walford »

Taped this fight last night and bloody MyStar cut out after the 3rd round.

I've seen the result, which shocked me a bit, because I was sure it was going the distance.

Did I miss anything worth watching?

Was developing into an awkward contest when the tape stopped and I would have liked to see it develop.

Can anyone give me a brief rundown as to how the rest of the fight went??

Cheers

pradeep probly took the first round on workrate but after that sam dominated every round, massive body shot from sam in the 10th that caused that stoppage i felt it sitting here on my couch

it was a mismatch on paper, and that's how it panned out. still think sam should have finished it earlier, but the main thing is that he won.

time now to take on the big names or retire imo.

i would love to see him pick up a world title before he retires though.

Sam fought his usual style, I agree with braden, Singh won the first round and Sam won every other from there on out. I think Singh was in the fight for the first three, had lost the fight in his head by the end of the fourth and was stopped by the best punch of the fight in the tenth, Pradeep threw or dumped Sam three times during the fight, which was really in answer to Sam's swarming, mugging style (one foul deserves another). Other than those highlights, it was the usual ugly dance that we're used to.

Singh was too one dimensional and Sam was all over him like a rash. By the time Singh would throw his leads, Sam had already moved away or darted inside with counters. Singh got frustrated in not connecting and being used as a punching bag, hence his hip throws and tackles. Sadly he is too light to tackle for the Storm but a good matchup for Singh would be with Garth Wood for both a bit of boxing and grappling and to find out if Garth has really improved since their Contender days.

Sam should take on the upper echelon of local middleweights, even if it jis ust to find out if any can counter his awkward style.

Singh vs Woods  :TU:
Soliman's style isn't that hard to work out, he is a mugging counter fighter, keep on the back foot and make him commit and come forward on to your punches, always attack an aggressor, always stand up to a bully and always counter a counter fighter.

he needs bigger international fights, not domestic fights. if he fails there then come back and take on the locals again.
