Good boxing gyms in southern California
I'm looking for a good boxing gym for my son the current one he's at stopped going out to other gyms to spar. And I get the feeling that this will hold him back. He's 9 yrs old is an open fighter any suggestions?

That would be cool....right now he's been sparring 70 pounders. And he's pretty much has been handling then. I'm thinking of getting my license and taking him out to spar myself. Maybe I've seen ur fighter in tournaments what's his name if u don't mind me asking?

Is he the one that fought Raymond Otanez? We sparred him a couple of times. Little dude is strong I think he fought at the blue and gold at 65lbs and won....We might join the Bell Gardens gym its only 15 minutes away on the freeway. Plus its free and I called them and they have 2 other 65-70 open fighters.

That's him,Raymond this year will box in the 10-11 yr old division,Mario still boxes in the 8-9 division since he doesn't turn 10 till February.Raymond is tough, very good boxer,I'd like to see him box Santos Ortega from up here,Mario lost to him at the at our JO's back in April,we gave up 15 months in age,but considering Santos won the Silver Gloves Nationals at 60lbs at 10-11 yrs,I thought Mario did good. What's your son's name?

Bell Gardens is a good choice. Eddie Heredia on Olympic off Atlantic is also a good gym. Email me at [email protected] for more info. ![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
