A good win though and unless he won spectacularly, i think people will moan! Maybe we expect too much from the Bomber.

Take nothing away from Ajisafe though, he gave his all! :TU:
He won't be fighting Cleverly anytime soon, Taffy. ;;-)

Are you very thick darke was not commentating!
I don't pretend to know the full line up of Sky's boxing commentators, I've only ever been aware of Smith and Darke as the "main" commentator.....with not seeing their faces so much over the years I can't tell who's commentating so easily...........................I don't think it takes much away from my point about Sky tho. Some serious bum getting licked in there 2nite.

I think the summary from Piper and Cleverly was accurate regarding Bellew. Also, Warren was frank lol

Dropped by Ajisafe - that doesn't bode well.

Clev. seemed a top bloke there if anything I think he felt abit embarrassed for bomber, Bellew didn't look good but he got the win and lives to fight another day. The worrying thing was he looked quite amateurish and predictable with some of his combinations, but atleast he got 12 rounds under his belt. a wins a win.

Tony needs to have a look at that fight and iron out his problems!!

i like Tony and think (or thought) he has potential, but based on that performance, he was too square, too right hand happy, neglected his guard and head movement, and failed to put combo's together.

I appreciate that he was not happy with his performance but he has a long way to go based on that .............. if the bomb doesn't land he looks a bit lost????

Back to the gym Tony and get workin mate and show your true potential!!!!!

What Bellew needs is a really good, well matched British Title fight.

The 12 rounds will do him the World of good.

He's gotta look at why Ajisafe, a soft puncher, caught him and what the affect would be if it was Tavoris Cloud landing the punch.

Also, why he couldn't put Ajisafe away. Ajisafe moves but was sometimes stumbling. Chad Dawson can move and jab and hit and ain't gonna be all wobbly like Bob.

This all seems to me like run before you can walk. Forget the bravado and learn the trade, then attack the World rankings.

But you have to admit that when he did get knocked down he was up before the count even started. I think he'll be more embarrassed than worried about that. It was just a good clean shot on the button.

Win, learn and fight another day. Bellew ain't had many fights. Time to slow it down and learn. Big punch don't mean instant success at this level. Bellew is good just needs to craft it all in place.

On the upside, at least it's happened at this level, while he can still put things right.

I'd have thought this was exactly what you'd want to see with a fighter like Bellew, give him a shock before he falls in love with his power.

He went the distance for the first time. Got put over and got back up to win. Will now know he's got a long way to go. All positives if you're looking at things from the right perspective. Better to receive a wake-up call at a level you can emerge relatively untarnished from than against a better opponent who'd perhaps capitalise in a more damaging way.

Bellew was well and truely exposed completely live on sky in my opinion. Slow, weak chinned and out of ideas when plan A doesn't work. ajisafe is barely scraping the barrell at british level.

Scraping the barrell!!! - you should be more respectful than that!

Ajisafe was a good test for someone who has had less than 15 fights!! Yes thats right 15 fights.

Bellew was not at his best last night but will have learnt a great deal from that.

Cleverly is on a different level but thats ok.

Still think Bellew will win European titles at least.

I would be interested to see Travis Dickinson in with someone like Ajisafe in 2/3 more fights

For all the hype surrounding bellew, that was poor! looked british level IMO, he said cleverly cant take his shots, im not sure bomber could take clevs shots.
