"Fast" Eddie

What ever happened to "Fast" Eddie Hopson? He briefly held the IBF Super Feather title and had a couple of consecutive wins before calling it quits in '99. Any idea why he retired?

His chin was just about gone, but I don't know if that was the reason he retired.
